국문 초록

이 논문의 목적은 현행 중등 미술교육에 있어서 감상교육 및 전시회 관람교육의 현황과 문제점을 분석하는 것이다. 창의력과 개성을 존중하는 7차 교육과정에서 미술 감상교육은 표현 및 체험영역과 함께 중시되어 왔다. ‘학문에 기초한 미술교육(DBAE)’이라는 패러다임 하에서 감상교육도 주관적ㆍ미적 체험이라는 측면 뿐 아니라 객관적ㆍ지적 체험 그리고 창조적 활동이 어우러진 종합적인 과정으로 이루어지도록 요구받고 있다. 그러나 실제 교육 현장에서 감상교육은 교육과학기술부의 방침과는 다르게 아직도 미술교육에 있어서 부차적인 요소로 간주되고 있다. 중ㆍ고등학생들을 대상으로 한 설문조사에서 여전히 상당수 학생들이 전시회 관람교육에서 소외되고 있으며 참여한 학생들도 부실한 사전ㆍ사후 교육으로 말미암아 전시회 관람의 긍정적 효과를 거두지 못하고 있다. 특히 평상시 미술 수업시간에서의 감상교육이 제대로 이루어지지 않아 전시회 관람교육이 원하는 효과를 거두지 못하는 것으로 드러났다. 이는 단지 교육패러다임의 수입과 적용으로 해결될 수 있는 문제가 아니며 교사, 시도교육청, 미술계, 지역사회가 공통된 인식을 바탕으로 감상교육을 사회적 차원에서 진행할 때에 극복될 수 있는 문제일 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this thesis is to analyze the current ststus and the problem of art appreciation class and student's participation in the exhibition in Korea. In the 7th amendments of education which stresses the creativity and the individuality, appreciation is regarded as important area of art education together with expression and experience activity. Under the paradigm of Discipline Based Art Education, art appreciation is required to be the synthesis of the objective-intellectual activity and creative activity as well as subjective-aesthetic activity. However, as different from the direction of the Ministry of Education, art appreciation has not been regarded as core area in the actual art class. The survey of this thesis from the middle and high school students shows that still considerable portion of students are excluded from the participation in the exhibition and the experience of participation doesn't bring positive effect on the participants due to the lack of pre activity and post activity education. Specially the survey shows that the lack of continuous art appreciation education in the class is very closely related with the little effect of student's exhibition participating activity. This problem cannot be resolved only with the import and application of the education paradigm by the authority but it should be overcome through the social network among the teachers, education authority, professional artists group and the local society and their better understanding of the art appreciation.
