여성장애인의 폭력피해 위험요인

국문 초록

본 연구의 주요 목적은 먼저 성별에 따른 폭력 발생률을 알아본 후 여성장애인이 경험하는 폭력피해 수준을 남성장애인과 비교하고, 요인특성별 폭력피해 수준에 차이가 있는지를 파악한 후, 생태학적 모델을 바탕으로 여성장애인의 폭력피해 위험요인을 규명하는데 있다. 2008년도 장애인실태조사 자료를 사용하였으며, 요인분석을 위하여 다항로지스틱모델을 활용하였다.주요결과를 살펴보면 첫째, 여성장애인의 가정폭력피해를 유발하는 위험요인 가운데 장애요인으로는 장애유형, 일상생활 도움필요정도가 나타났으며, 개인적 및 내부적 요인으로 연령과 혼인상태, 사회문화적 요인으로 본인이 느끼는 차별정도가 유의미한 설명변수로 나타났다. 둘째, 여성장애인의 성폭력피해를 유발하는 위험요인 가운데 장애요인으로는 장애유형이 나타났고, 개인적 및 내부적 요인으로는 연령이, 환경적 및 외부적 요인으로는 기초수급여부가, 사회문화적 요인으로는 본인이 느끼는 차별정도가 유의미한 설명변수로 파악되었다. 연구결과를 토대로 여성장애인의 폭력 감소와 예방 및 개입을 위한 실천적 및 정책적 과제를 제안하였다.

영문 초록

The main objectives of this study are to estimate the rates of family violence and sexual violence that women with disabilities have experienced during the last one year, and to identify risk factors for violence victimization of women with disabilities. This study categorized risk factors as disability factors, individual and internal factors, environmental and external factors, and sociocultural factors through literature review from an ecological perspective. This study used 2008 National Survey of Persons with Disabilities targeting 7,000 persons with disabilities nationwide, which was conducted by Ministry of Health and Welfare and Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs. This study utilized descriptive statistics as well as advanced statistics to gain the study objectives. Main study findings are as follows: Disability type, help necessary degree of daily living as disability factor, age, marital status as individual and internal factors, discrimination level as social and cultural factors significantly increased the odds of family violence compared to no violence, whereas disability type as disability factor, age as individual and internal factors, public assistance recipients as environmental and external factors, discrimination level as social and cultural factors significantly increased the odds of sexual violence compared to no violence. All other factors did not predict the violence. Based on the study findings, we suggested policy and practice implications.
