국문 초록

이 논문에서는 소련붕괴 이후의 새로운 학문적 조건에서 극동지역에서 전개된 러시아내전(198-1922) 시기의 정치적, 군사적 상황을 새롭게 해석하고자 하였다. 소련시기에 이루어진 러시아내전에 연구들은 그 엄청난 양적 성과에도 불구 하고 소련공산당의 공식적 해석과 정책에 충실한 탓에 여러 시각에서의 새로운 연구의 필요성을 제기한다. 이제는 러시아내전에 관한 새로운 각도에서 전면적으로 다시 연구되고 재정리되어질 필요가 있는 것이다. 이 글은 이러한 문제의식을 갖고 쓴 시론적인 연구라 할 수 있으며, 특히 한인들의 내전 참여에 주목하였다. 한인과 중국인의 강제이주와 관련하여 러시아내전에 관한 회상록들에서 한인과 중국인들에 관한 언급이 의도적으로 배제된 단적인 예에서 알 수 있듯이 러시 아내전에 관한 사실적 측면에서도 공백부분이 많이 남아있다. 이제 내전에 관한 새로운 방법론에 입각하여 러시아내전 당시에 일어났던 사건들의 진실과 진상을 밝힐 수 있다. 이는 매우 힘든 작업이기는 하지만 많은 사실, 사건, 인간들의 운명, 그들 행위의 동기 등을 연구해야 한다. 그리고 철학적인 지식도 필요하다. 그때에야 만이 우리는 소련의 탄생과 탈혁명적 러시아의 역사로 가득 찬 비극적인 페이지들에 대한 이해에 접근할 수 있게 될 것이다.이 논문에서는 러시아 극동 남부연해주에서 발생한 내전에 관련된 여러 문제들을 살펴보았다. 특히 혁명이전의 시기에 ‘남부 우수리 지방’에 포함되었던 지역을 펴보았다. 대부분의 한인들은 러시아혁명세력, 적위파에 가담하였지만, 일부는 백위파에도 가담하였다. 이는 이들이 처했던 사회적, 경제적 처지와 밀접한 관련이 있다. 러시아의 한인들은 한반도를 일본침략군으로부터 해방시키기 위한 운동에 적극적으로 참여하는 한편, 극동지역에서 러시아 소비에트 정권의 수립을 위해 활발하게 싸웠다.

영문 초록

The author attempts to reinterprete and describe the military and political situation in the Russian Far East during the Civil War period(1918-1922). His views shows the new academic environment formed after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Previous studies on the Civil War during the Soviet Union period were faithful to the official historical interpretation directed by the Communist Party. We need new methodologies and historical philosophy by which we can discover new facts and interpretations about the experiences and sufferings of th Russian population during Civil War period. This study is an experimental effort to fulfill such new approaches, methodologies and historical point of view. In particular, the author tries to pay special attention to the participation of Koreans in the Civil War. The author feels regretful that although wonderful the activities of Koreans and Chinese in the Civil War were well described in the memoires of Russian colleagues, their participations were deleted in the offical history of the Civil War mainly because of the political reasons. He suggests that the participation of Koreans and Chinese in the struggles against anti-revolutionar forces and the interventionists need to be recovered. Although it is very difficult work to recover a lot of facts, incidents, the fates of human-beings and the causes of human actions. The author also emphasizes the necessity of introducing new philosophical knowledge in the studies on the Civil War. While the majority of Koreans joined in the Red Guards, small number of Koreans supported the White Guards. Their political and military choices were closely related to their social and economic status. While Koreans in Russia had actively participated in the movement for liberating the Korean peninsula from the Japanese occupation, they also fought for the establishment of the Soviet power in the Russian Far East.
