국문 초록

이 논문에서 필자는 1920년대 초 만주와 연해주에서 활동하던 조선인 무장부대의 통합운동의 과정을 살펴보고자 하였다. 1919년 3·1운동의 결과 민족해방운동 선상에는 독립전쟁론을 이론적 기반으로 하는 무장독립투쟁이 활발하게 전개되기 시작하였다. 만주에서 활동하던 독립군부대들은 봉오동전투와 청산리전투에서 연합작전을 전개하여 큰 승리를 일구어냈다. 연해주에서도 조선인 무장부대들은 러시아 빨치산부대와 함께 일본군 및 백군과의 전투를 수행하고 있었다. 그러나 경신참변과 연해주참변을 일으키며 대규모 소탕작전을 벌여오는 일본군의 공세에 밀린 조선인 무장부대들은 분산된 투쟁을 지양하고 통합된 무장부대를 결성하기 위해 노령으로 집결한다. 여기에서 주도적인 역할을 한 세력이 이동 휘를 중심으로 하는 한인사회당이었다. 한인사회당의 주도세력들은 소련정부와‘대일한로공수동맹’을 체결한 후, 자신들과 관계를 맺고 있던 만주와 연해주의 무장부대들에게 연락을 취해 극동공화국에서 통합된 독립군단을 조직할 것을 기도하였다. 그 결과 만주에서 연해주로 이동해온 독립군 부대들은 연해주에서 활동하던 빨치산부대들과 통합하여 이만에서 대한독립군단을 조직하였다. 이 대한독립군단은 당시 만주와 연해주를 망라한 통합기관으로 민족해방을 위해 분투하던 이들의 통일을 위한 노력의 산물이었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to review the activities for unifying Korean military troops in Manchuria and the Russian Maritime Province in the early 1920s. After the March First Movement, Koreans began to organize armed struggles for the independence of Korea based on the theory of independence war (dongnip jeonjaeng-non). In allied battles in Bongo-dong and Cheongsan-ri in Manchuria, Korean independence armies won a great victory against the Japanese. Also in the Russian Maritime Province, Korean partisan troops were fighting together with the Russian partisans against the Japanese armies and the White Guards. Korean military troops, however, had experienced the tragic incidents committed by the Japanese military forces who aimed to get rid of Korean independence army.(the April Tragic Incident in the Maritime Province and the 1920s Tragic Incident in Manchuria). Korean military troops decided to move to Russia with the purpose of unifying all Koreans military troops. In the process, the Korean Socialist Party led by Yi Dong-hwi played a key role. After the key members of the Korean Socialist Party concluded the Treaty of Offense and Defense Alliance against Japan with the Soviet government, they sent messages to the Korean armed troops to gather in the territory of the Far Eastern Republic and to form a unified corps of Koreans armed forces. As a result of the plan, Korean armed troops which had moved from Manchuria to the Maritime Province formed a unified corps called the Korean Military Corps for Independence in Iman. The corps is the product of the efforts made by the independence fighters who had strived to form a Korean unified military organization.
