국문 초록

청소년들의 이공계 진학 기피는 과학기술에 대한 직업 전망 및 비전이 감소하고 있음을 보여줄 뿐만 아니라 이공계 배출 인력의 질을 떨어뜨려 국가경쟁력을 약화시킨다. 장차 우리경제를 부흥시킬 과학기술을 연구하고 개발할 젊은이들을 이공계 전공으로 유도하고 과학기술자들이 연구와 기술개발에 전념할 수 있도록 하는 방법은 과학기술자들의 연구 및 기술 활동이 원활하게 이루어 질 수 있는 제반환경을 구축하고 중장기적으로 청소년 및 이공계 대학의 교육 개선과 사회에서의 과학기술인의 대 우에 대한 문제를 단계적으로 접근하여 풀어가는 것이 필요하다. 본 연구는 한국의 과학기술자 사회가 진화해온 과정을 분석하여 21세기 세계경쟁력의 핵심 인 과학기술자들의 양성과 활발한 연구 활동을 위한 과학기술자 사회 발전 정책방향과 대안 제시를 목적으로 한다.

영문 초록

The young people's avoidance of taking engineering course is not only showing that the outlook and vision of the occupations involving in scientific technology but also debasing the quality of engineering graduate human resources, which results in weakening the national competitiveness. The way, which induces the young people, who will research and develop the scientific technology to revive our economy, to take the engineering course and enables the scientific technologists to focus on their research and technology development, requires that all sorts of environments which enables scientific technologists to amicably devote themselves to their research and development activities shall be built and improvement of engineering colleges' education and the issues on the treatments against the scientific technologist in society shall be solved by phase-in approach. This study aims to propose policy directions to develop the scientific technologist' community and the alternatives for the cultivation of scientific technologists who are the core global competitiveness of the 215t century and their active and positive research activities by analyzing the courses that the scientific technologist society of the Korea has evolved.
