국문 초록

본 논문은 외형적으로는 산재주거형태이지만 본질적으로 밀집주거형태의 한 변형으로서 이원적 주거 형태인 “떠녀"(tanya) 와 “떠녀"(tanya) 체계를 연구 대상으로 삼아， 헝가리 전통 농촌 주거 구조의 특성을 조사 연구해 본 것이다. 이“떠녀”와 “떠녀” 체계는 헝가리 대평원(Alfo1d) 이라는 지역의 지정학적 특성에 따라 발전된 농민층의 독특한 주거 형태로서만 그 의미를 지니는 것이 아니라， 헝가리 사회 특히 농민 사회의 발전 과정과 그 궤적을 같이하며 변화하고 발전하여， 물질적 측면에서만이 아니라 정신적으로도 전통 문화와 민속 형성에도 깊이 내재되어 있음을 알 수 있게 된다. 먼저 ”떠녀”라는 독특한 주거 형태의 의미와 본질 그리고 기능을 조사하여，"떠녀”는 고립 농가나 외딴 농가와 같은 산재주거 형태가 아니라 밀집 주거지와 유기적 관계를 긴밀히 유지하고 있는 부속주거형태로서， 이 지역의 지리적， 역사적 배경과 상황에 헝가리인의 고대 유목 문화에 나타난 이중 주거 방식을 접목시켜， 합리적이고 경제적인 주거 형태로 발전시킨 사실을 밝혔다. 다음 단계로 ”떠녀”가 산발적인 개별 주거 방식이 아니라， 이 지역 거주 농민층의 전형적 거주 형태로서 “떠녀” 체계를 형성해가는 과정과 흐름을 조사하였으며, 이 과정은 헝가리 사회의 시민화 과정과 밀접하게 관련되어 있음을 밝힐 수 있었다. 본 연구 조사는 “떠녀” 및 “떠녀” 체계의 역사적 발전 과정에만 한정된 것이 아니라, 20세기에 발생한 많은 시대 상황과 역사 변동에 따라 급변한“떠녀” 체계와 ‘떠녀”의 여러 유형에 관하여도 조사가 이루어져, 전통 주거 구조로서의 특정과 함께 최근 현재의 모습도 기술하였다. 이러한 조사 연구를 바탕으로 하여 “떠녀”와“떠녀” 체계의경제적, 사회적, 역사적 가치와 의미에 대한 평가도 행하였다. 본 연구 논문 주제의 핵심인 헝가리 대평원 농민층의 전통 주거 형태 ”떠녀”와..떠녀”의 유형적 특성 및 형성 과정에 관한 연구를 통해 헝가리 전통 농촌 주거 구조의 특성을 밝혀 보았고， 동시에 헝가리 전통 농민 사회와 문화의 성격을 파악할 수 있도록 시도하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this paper is to study characteristics of traditional Hungarian rural settlement pattern through research on "tanya" and "tanya" system which are seemingly a scattered settlement type but in fact a variant of clustered settlement. Tanya is not just a unique settlement type of Hungarian rural community resulting from a pragmatic adjustment to distinctive geography of the Hungarian Great Plain (Alfold). “Tanya" system has mirrored the development of Hungarian society, especially rural community, thus it has close bearing on the formation of traditions and folk customs spiritually as well as physically. This study first explores the significance. nature , and functions of "tanya.' Major findings are as follows Tanya is not a scattered settlement type like the lonely farmstead or isolated farming household but an affiliated settlement closely connected with clustered settlements‘ Tanya is also a rational and economical settlement which applied the dual settlement pattern of ancient Hungarian nomadic culture to geographic and historical peculiarities of the region. Secondly, this paper puts forward an examination of the formation of "tanya" system not as a scattered individual settlement type but as a typical settlement pattern of rural dwellers and finds out that the development process of “tanya" is closely associated with the history of Hungarian civilization. Research was also carried out on rapid changes in "tanya" system following historical ups and downs in the 20th century and many different types of "tanya". Lastly. in this paper. economic. social. and historical values of "tanya" were evaluated. Through research on the typical settlement type of rural dwellers in the Hungarian Great Plain (Alfold), “tanya." and its characteristics and formation , this study tries to investigate the characteristics of traditional Hungarian rural community and culture as well as the peculiarities of traditional rural settlement type.
