국문 초록

뛰어난 종교사학자에 의해 이루어진 상상의 시학 연구에 커다란 발전을 도모하는 새로운 논쟁이 최근 연구 활동 속에 야기되고 있다. 미르체아 엘리아데는 시학과 상상학의 영역에서 최초의 길을 연 학자로써 그의 연구 업적은 가스통 바슐라르, 알베르트 베건, 휴고 프리드리히, 질베르 뒤랑, 잔 부르고 등 이 분야의 용어론과 방법론의 기초를 정립한 고명한 이론가들보다도 - 지난 세기 40년대에 시작하여 동시대에 이르기 까지 - 선행된바 적지 않다. 따라서 엘리아데 가 추구한 이상적 상위, 즉 분열과 (재)구성은 그의 논제에 감탄을 금치 못한 후대의 동시대 학자들에 이르러 그 가치가 높게 평가되었다. 우리는 상징 일관성,이미지, 구상과 상상, 원형, 신화와 동시대에서의 퇴보 등과 같은 용어들을 언급한 미르체아 엘리아데 이론의 새로운 요소들에 커다란 관심을 표명하고 있다. 엘리아데의 반실증적 반응은 바슐라르, 뒤랑, 부르고의 경우와도 비슷하게 매우 격렬하다. 그들과 비슷했지만 그들보다는 앞서 엘리아데는 크리스트교 과학(과 학주의)의 경직된 철학적 교의를 거절하면서, 융에 의해 처음 그리고 이후 20세기에 이르기까지 상징, 상징주의, 이미지를 언급한 모든 인문과학에 의해 재발견된 사실과 이미지의 다양성에 수반되는 개념들을 받아들이고 발전시켰다.

영문 초록

The current research work is meant to bring new arguments in favour of the remarkable contribution brought to the studies on the poetics of the imaginary made by the brilliant exegete of the history of religions. The major idea of this study focuses on the fact that Mircea Eliade is a genuine road opener in the domain of the poetics, of the imaginary, sometimes preceding the researches initiated – starting the fourth decade of the past century until the contemporary epoch – by famous theoreticians, who had laid the bases of methodology and terminology in this field: Gaston Bachelard, Albert Beguin, Hugo Friedrich, Gilbert Durand, Jean Burgos and so on and so forth. Therefore, Eliade’s ideative differences, dissociations and constructions were appreciated at their true value only after those of some contemporary scholars who had admiringly taken over his theses. We would like to bring to the focus of attention new elements of Mircea Eliade’s theories referring to such terms as symbols coherence, image, imagination and imaginary,archetypes, myths and their degradation in the contemporary world and so on and so forth. Eliade’s anti‐positivist reaction is quite violent, being similar to the position of Bachelard, Durand, Burgos. Just like the others, but prior to them, he has taken over and developed concepts pertaining to the multiplicity of the image, a reality restored first by C.G. Jung and afterwards rediscovered by all the humanistic sciences which have currently referred, in the 20th century, to symbols, symbolism, image, rejecting the stiffening philosophical doctrines of Christian sciences(scientism).
