국문 초록

언어는 인간과 너무나도 밀접하고도 본질적인 관계를 맺고 있다. 그 이유는 언어가 인간의 심적 내용을 상호간 전달하는 매개체 역할을 담당하기 때문이다. 이러한 매개체 역할은 어휘의 배열 규칙(문법)에 의해 이루어지지 때문에 언어를 습득한다는 것은 어휘를 습득하는 것과 마찬가지이다. 만물이 유전하는 것과 같이 언어라는 존재도 여러 면에서 변화하 게 된다. 어휘도 역시 역사의 흐름에 따라 변화하는 대상에서 벗어날 수는 없을 것이다. 언어 사용자들은 언어적 또는 언어외적인 영향으로 인하여 사전편찬자들이 보조를 맞출 수 없을 정도로 빠르게 어휘를 생성·변화시키고 있다. 언어의 하위분야 중 가장 그 변화에 개방적인 분야는 어휘이며, 이러한 변화에 가장 민감한 분야는 아마도 직업명일 것이다. 직업명의 생성과 소멸은 시대에 따라 다르게 나타나며, 정치적, 사회적, 문화적 요인에 의해 밀접한 영향을 받는 다. 현대 시대는 경제의 세계화와 정보화로 사회 경제적 구조의 일대변혁이 이루어지고 있고, 루마니아의 경우 과거 공산주의 체제로 인하여 다른 국가들에 비해 경제발전의 시작은 비록 늦었지만 세계화의 흐름에 따라 급속도로 발전하고 있다. 직업명 역시 이에 보조를 맞추어 “전환기”를 맞이하고 있다고 해도 과언이 아니다. 따라서 과거 사용되어 오던 정감이 있고 장인 정신이 스며있는 일부 직업명들은 신조어에 밀려 소멸 과정에 있고, 새로 생성된 인기 있는 직업명 의 경우 동일한 직업명이 다수 등장하기도 한다. 본 논문에서는 어휘변화와 언어외적인 면의 영향관계가 밀접하다는 것을 전제로 루마니아어의 직업명의 조어양상을 살펴보았다. 직업명 어휘의 확장방법으로 접미사 부착 파생, 차용어, 합성어를 고찰하였고, 이러한 확장방법으로 인해 수많은 동의어와 다의어가 생성되고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이는 언어 사용자들에게조차도 혼동을 유발할 수 있어 직업명에 대한 기준이나 분류 작업이 시급하다고 사료된다.

영문 초록

The language changes constantly and evolves. Even lexicographers cannot keep up with the rapid changes in vocabulary created by language users due to extra linguistic influences. The vocabulary is one of the linguistic subordinates that are most subject to change and perhaps the names of professions is one of the most sensitive parts of vocabulary formation and change. Creation and extinction of the names of professions show up differently according to era and are influenced by political, social, cultural elements. I made a research on word formation of occupation terminology in Romanian on the premise that extra linguistic aspects influence change of vocabulary. Thus both elements are inseparably related to each other. For the extension methods of names of professions derivation, loan words and compound words were used in order to show that a great number of synonyms and words with multiple meanings are created in this manner. In the case of suffix, the names of profession with -tor suffix which is more widely found, and -ist suffix was next but -ist suffix can be attached to abbreviation and names of food. So it is predicted that the names of profession with -ist suffix will have a remarkably wide range than the others because -ist suffix is acquiring more popularity. In the case of loan words, up to now there were many more French loan words than English loan words. Introducing English loan words is not easy because of greater morphological and phonetic differences between English and Romanian. Today worldwide socioeconomic structures suffer great changes under the influence of globalization and computerization of economy. In the case of Romania, economic development was recorded relatively late than in other countries due to communist structures, nevertheless development occurs at a fast rate. The names of professions are introduced rapidly but criterion and classification of name of professions does not keep step with that; for this reason it causes confusion for users, so the criterion and classification must be completed soon.
