국문 초록

폴란드의 대표적인 시인으로 노벨 문학상 수상자인 비스와바 쉼보르스카는 자신의 11 번째 정규시집『콜론』에서 기존에 발표한 여러 작품들을 환기시키며 신작과 전작이 절묘하게 조합된 ‘패러디의 향연’을 시도하고 있다.표제작에 해당되는 <사실상 모든 시에는>에서는 원 텍스트를 의도적으로 노출시킴으로써 독자의 적극적인 참여와 해독을 유도하고 있다. 광고나 TV 프로그램의 형식을 차용한 장르 패러디에서는 당대의 문화에 대한 저항적 비평의식이 발견된다. 서로 대구를 이루며 조응하는 일련의 작품들을 통해 ‘상호텍스트성’을 강조하며 그 연계성을 부각시키기도 하고, ‘거리두기’를 통한 비판적 변용을 시도하는 경우도 있다. 선행 텍스트와 패러디 텍스트 사이의 동화 및 이화 작용을 통해 모방과 비판의 과정을 거쳐 또 하나의 새로운 작품을 창조해내는 것, 그러나 결코 동일화는 아닌 것, 그것이 바로 패러디이다. 쉼보르스카의 최근작 『콜론』은 ‘자기복제’를 넘어선 긍정적이고, 창조적인 패러디의 전형을 보여주는 사례로 평가할 수 있다.

영문 초록

『Colon』is Szymborska's 11th anthology published in 2005 which contains 17 poems. In 『Colon』we can find a lot of the elements of parody which have connection with her earlier poems. Those elements of parody form antitheses to some of her earlier poems and create refreshing sensation through creative modification. Szymborska reveals sadistic nature of humans through soliloquies of animals in a series of poems, and emphasizes unlimited possibility existing in ‘non-being’ through a new interpretation of ‘absence.’ In , the last poem in the anthology, an explicit parody is tried by borrowing whole verses and sentences or motif from his earlier poems. Naming this anthology with various parodies 'colon', Szymborska sought for a conclusion beyond the limit of human language and also for returning to an anonymous origin. In conclusion, the elements of parody and motifs used in 『Colon』can be said to be the poet's tools by which familiar images from his earlier poems can be utilized to maximize efficiency in conveying meaning. Szymborska tried, with various parody techniques, creative combination between ‘the old’ and ‘the new’, and ‘the traditional’ and ‘the reformative’ by incorporating inspiration of her earlier works into her current works.
