구비 발라드 ‘하사나기니짜(Hasanaginica)’에 대한 의미 분석

국문 초록

구 유고지역의 구비문학 갈래분류에서 구비서정-서사시(narodne lirsko-epske pesme)의 범주에 포함되는 구비 발라드(narodna balada)는 비극적인 결말을 그 특징으로 하는 구비시가이다. 구비 발라드는 인간이 삶을 살아가며 느끼는 감정과 정서를 포함하고 있다는 점에서 서정적인 시가로써의 특징을 갖고 있으며, 특정한 사건의 전개를 형식적인 근간으로 하고 있다는 점에서 서사적인 시가로써의 특징 또한 갖고 있다. 본고에서는 구 유고지역에서 널리 불리는 구비 발라드 작품 ‘하사나기니짜(Hasanaginica)’를, 작품이 담고 있는 본질적인 내용을 중심으로 분석했다. 여기에서 ‘작품의 본질적인 내용’이란 문학작품으로써의 외적인 의미와 더불어 그것이 담고 있는 내적인 의미를 지칭한다. 오스만 투르크군의 사령관 하산의 부인인, ‘하사나기니짜’의 비극적인 운명은 이 작품의 전체적인 주제이기도 하며, 구비 발라드라는 갈래적 특징을 결정하는 요소이기도 하다. 더불어 본고에서 주목하고 있는 ‘고부간의 갈등’, ‘남성중심주의 문화’, ‘자식에 대한 사랑’과 같은 세부적인 모티프들은 전체적인 주제에 당위성을 부여하는 또 다른 의미적 요소들이라 할 수 있다. 하지만 본고에서 주목하고 있는 구비 발라드 작품 ‘하사나기니짜’의 세 가지 비극적 성격의 모티프들은 구 유고지역의 구비시가 작품들에만 국한되어 나타나는 개별적 모티프들은 아니며, 오히려 세계 어느 민족들의 구비문학작품들에나 나타나는 보편성을 띄고 있다고 할 수 있다. 이는 구비문학이 개별성과 함께 보편성을 띄고 있는 문학이라는 특징을 갖고 있다는 점을 새삼 반증하는 결과라고도 할 수 있겠다.

영문 초록

An oral ballade, which belongs to the oral lyric-epic poetry in the genre classification of oral literature in the old Yugoslavian region, is marked by a tragic end. Such ballade shows the features of lyric poetry in that it includes the feelings and emotions human beings feel in their lives; those of epic poetry in that it is based on the development of a specific accident. This study analyzed mainly the intrinsic contents of the ballade Hasanaginica widely sung in the old Yugoslavian region. In the study, the intrinsic contents of the work refer to the inner meanings in the work as well as the outer meanings as a literary work. The tragic destiny of Hasanaginica, a wife of Hasan, a commander of the Turkish troops is not only a whole theme of the work, but a factor determining the genre characteristics of oral literature. In addition, it can be said that the other factors giving justification to the whole theme are minute motifs, such as “the daughter-in-law and mother-in-law conflicts” and “the male-centered culture”, and “the love toward children”, which draw the attention of this study. However, not only do the three tragic motifs appear in the oral ballades of the old Yugoslavian region, but also in the oral literary works of any other nation around the world. This show once more that oral literature is characterized by universality as well as individuality.
