국문 초록

루카치는 그의 초기 저서에서 처음부터 두 가지 차원에서 미적 문제를 연구한다. 한편으로 그는 특히 문학 적인 형식과 문제들의 역사적․사회학적인 분석을 목표로 한다. 다른 한편으로 루카치는 삶의 철학과 세계관 을 이해하기 위해 예술철학의 기본구조를 설명한다. 역사적․사회학적인 분석은 우선 이 시기에 예술비판으로 대두되는 세계관의 토대를 형성한다. 여기서 루카치는 이 세계관의 몇 가지 동기와 구조를 기술한다. 그는 그 시대의 철학과 정신과학 및 사회과학에 중요한 사조들을 수용해서 아주 독자적으로 처리했다. 루카치의 초기 미학은 제1차 세계대전이 발발하기 전에 시민적인 지식인들의 삶의 철학적인 기본정서를 아 주 인상적으로 표현한다. 루카치는 삶과 예술의 이원론적인 입장으로 이행하고 새로운 목표를 설정한다. 그의 목표는 미학과 삶 즉, 규범적 현실과 구체적 현실을 조화시키는 것이다. 그는 초기에 문학이론적․문학사회학 적인 연구 이후에 방대한 미학에서 평생 이 문제를 연구했다. 그는 예술과 삶, 미학과 현실, 형식과 내용, 가치 와 역사 및 규범과 일상생활을 중개할 목표를 추구했다.

영문 초록

My aim in this essay is to sketch the cultural and philosophical context of Lukács's early aesthetics and to reconstruct the basic aim and structure of its main argument. Lukács bases his aesthetic on the analysis and fulfilment of individual human existence. He gives this theme a profound twist through his philosophical conception of human individuals. Lukács locates his philosophy of art within his general theory of cultural development. Lukács poses the problem of the peculiar nature of art, which makes it an appropriate discourse for the expression of critical consciousness. His faith in art to fill this role goes back to his pre-Marxist writings, particularly, Soul and Form. He reproduces the idealist and romanticist view of art as the privileged repository of authentic human values. Lukács regards art as potentially producing knowledge of the real. Whatever the reason, there is in Lukács's work an examination of the specificity of art. He makes an attempt to provide a defence of his own vision. In his major works on aesthetics Lukács deals with the 'specificity' of art which refers to the historical separation of artistic activity from other areas of social life, and the specialisation of aesthetic modes of perception. The concept of 'specificity' does indeed find a model in Lukács's aesthetic. He tries to explain the emancipation of art from every life and its gradual separation from magic, as a unique kind of reflection. He discusses the specific features of art by addressing himself to the question of specificity in art. Lukács proposes 'specificity' as an aesthetic category in itself. He argues that the aesthetic is defined by its particular category of specificity.
