국문 초록

이 논문에서는 한국어와 폴란드어에서 나타나는 자동사 구문의 한 유형인 장소보어교차 구문을 살펴 보고 그 특성을 비교․대조하였다. 홍재성(1987)은 한국어에서 자동사 장소보어교차 구문은 구조적으로 ‘N0-이/가 N1-에 V’ ↔ ‘N1-이/가 N0-로 V’의 규칙적 대응 관계를 보이며, 이 문형을 허용하는 동사 어휘들은 주로 의성어․의태어와 같은 상징어의 특성을 지님으로 이를 하나의 문장 유형으로 분류하고 있다. 이 러한 장소보어교차 구문은 한국어뿐만 아니라 영어나 불어에도 나타나며, 폴란드어에서도 찾아볼 수 있 다. 한국어와 비교해 보면, 역사적 어원이 다른 두 언어임에도 불구하고 그 동사 어휘의 의미와 각 어휘 에 대한 통사적 환경이 매우 닮아 있음을 알 수 있다. 이 글에서는 먼저 한국어 장소보어교차 구문의 유형과 그 특성을 자세히 살펴보고, 폴란드어에서 장소보어교차 구문의 특성을 나타내는 동사 어휘를 일차적으로 추출한 다음 그 동사를 중심으로 어떤 형태로 유형화될 수 있는지 살펴볼 것이다. 또한 그 동사들이 요구하는 필수 논항의 어휘적 특성을 살펴보고 이를 한국어 개별 동사 어휘들과의 비교를 통 해 두 언어 간의 유사성과 차이점을 알아보고자 한다. 이처럼 두 언어에 나타나는 유사한 구문을 비교 하고 그것을 유형화하는 작업은 종이 사전이나 전자 사전 상에 정확한 문형이나 의미 정보를 기술 가능 하게 하며, 이런 문법 정보는 인간 번역이나 기계 번역시에도 더욱 정확한 결과를 이끌어내는데 유용하 게 사용될 것이다. 이 글에서 전체 장소보어교차 구문의 동사 목록을 모두 다룰 수는 없지만 무엇보다 두 언어 간에 유사한 특성을 지닌 구문들을 찾아보고, 그 통사․ 어휘적 특성을 비교하는 선행 작업이 두 언어 간의 기초적인 언어 데이터 구축에 도움이 되리라 생각한다. 여기서의 비교 분석의 대상은 한 국어에서 자동사 장소보어교차 구문을 형성하는 대표적인 몇몇 동사들을 중심으로 그와 대응되는 폴란 드어 자동사들로 그 범위를 한정한다.

영문 초록

The standard/crossed construction is a type of intransitive phrase in Korean and Polish. In this paper, I have looked into the structure of standard/crossed constructions as well as their compared and contrasted characteristics between two languages. Hong Jae-Seong (1987) said that standard/crossed constructions in Korean show the regular correspondence of 'N0-이/가 N1-에 V' ↔ 'N1-이/가 N0-로 V' in structure, and since the verbs that allow this sentence pattern have semantical characteristics, such as onomatopoeia and mimesis. Such standard/crossed constructions are founded not only in Korean but English and French, and also could be found in Polish. Through comparison between Korean and Polish, I was able to know that the meaning of words and syntactic environments of each lexicon are similar, although Korean and Polish have different historic etymology. In chapter 2, I have looked into types and characteristics of Korean standard/crossed constructions. Basic on this, I have extracted verbs that exhibit the characteristics of standard/crossed constructions in Polish language and looked into their syntactic forms and lexical characteristics in chapter 3. As the result, they showed N0 V prep N1 ↔ N1 V N0-I/od N0-G in structure and in meaning. Verbs with similar meanings to those of Korean have the properties of standard/crossed constructions. In chapter 4, I have compared and contrasted standard/crossed constructions in intransitive verbs in Korean with the corresponding verbs in Polish. Through the comparison of the two language's individual verbs, I have studied their similarity and difference. As seen above, the typological process of the similar phrases in two languages enables to state precise information about construction and meaning on printed or electronic bilingual dictionaries. This grammatical information will be useful in deriving more precise result in human or mechanical translation. Above all, I believe that this will be helpful the process of building basic language data between the two languages.
