圃隱學의 世界化를 위한 課題

국문 초록

정몽주는 고려 말 정치 외교 및 사상적 파란 속에 살면서 이를 문학 작품 및 문장으로 표현하였다. 그럼에도 불구하고 그에 대한 자료와 작품 및 문장은 많이 남아 있지 못하여 그에 대한 평가는 대단히 미진하였다. 다행이 2007년에 결성된 圃隱學會는 그에 대한 관심과 평가를 활성화하는 계기가 되어, 학자들의 열정과 가문의 도움으로 중국과 일본 등 많은 학자들과의 논의가 가능하였다. 필자는 정몽주에 대한 논의들을 되돌아보고, 이후의 연구 방향에 대해 생각해보았는데, 특히 포은학의 세계화에 대한 방향을 제시하는데 집중하였다. 이를 위해 필자는 다음과 같은 제안을 한다. 첫째, 중국 ․ 일본 등의 전문 학자들 및 재야 학자와의 자료 공유가 이루어 져야 한다. 둘째, 정몽주에 대한 연구는 시대적 상황에 머물러서는 안 된다. 셋째, 정몽주의 정치사상은 정치사상의 보편적 이해에 관점을 맞춰야 한다. 넷째, 한국 및 중국과 일본의 당대 고급 및 생활 문화에 대한 보편적 이해가 필요하다. 다섯째, 그의 시에 대한 시 원론적 접근이 확대되어야 한다. 이에 포함되는 하나의 방향은 비교문학적 접근이다. 여섯째, 포은 문학이 가지는 현대적 의미에 대한 논의가 이루어져야 한다.

영문 초록

Jeong Mong-ju(鄭夢周) lived through a political and diplomatic turmoil in the late Goryeo Dynasty and expressed the vicissitude in literary writings and works. But, as not much of the material on him has been handed down nor many of his works and writings have been found, critical evaluation of him is really unsatisfactory. Fortunately, Association of Poeun Studies founded in the year 2007 served as a momentum for scholars to take interest in and assess him. The passion of scholars and the support of his family made it possible to discuss him with many Chinese and Japanese scholars. Reviewing discussions on Jeong Mong-ju, I have considered further academic studies on him and focused on suggesting directions how to globalize Poeun studies. With this in mind, I put forward the following proposals. First, materials on Poeun should be shared not only with scholars in China and Japan but those out of college. Second, studies on Jeong Mong-ju should not focus only the situations of his period. Third, political thoughts of Jeong Mong-ju should be viewed with a universal understanding of political ideas. Fourth, both high-class and living cultures of Korea, China and Japan in the period of Jeong Mong-ju should be understood on a universal basis. Fifth, Theoretical approaches to his poetry should be expanded. One direction to be included is comparative literary approach. Sixth, discussions on the contemporary significance of Poeun literature should be made.
