교사교육자의 철학적 연구와 교수

국문 초록

이 글은 교사교육자가 교사교육의 질을 제고하기 위해 교사에 관한 과학적 연구 및 교수를 넘어서 철학적 연구 및 교수를 수행해 가야한다는 점을 밝히고 정당화하려고 하였다. 이를 위해 연구자는 첫째, 교사교육자는 ‘교사에 관한 과학적 연구’가 가지는 한계를 반성하고 나아가 ‘교사에 관한 철학적 연구’를 시도해야 함을 강조하였으며, 둘째, 교사교육자는 ‘교사를 위한 과학적 교수’가 가지는 한계를 반성하고 나아가 ‘교사를 위한 철학적 교수’를 감행해 나아가야 한다는 점을 강조하였다. 셋째, 연구자는 교사교육자가 교사다운 교사를 길러내기 위해 과학적 연구와 철학적 연구를 변증적으로 조화시켜 나가야 하며 동시에 과학적 교수와 철학적 교수를 유기적으로 조화시켜 나가야 한다는 점을 역설하고, 그것들을 조화시키기 위한 한 방안으로 대학의 교사교육자가 일선 학교의 교사들과 함께 탐구공동체 혹은 논의공동체를 구성, 유지, 발전시켜 나가야 한다는 점을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

The aim of this thesis is to investigate the harmony between philosophical research and teaching of educator of teachers to improve the quality of education of teachers. Conclusions as follows: Firstly, educator of teachers must harmonize the methods of scientific research and philosophical research for rearing good teachers. In general, scientific researchers try to describe real situation of teachers by empirical method. But philosophical researchers try to prescribe image of ideal teacher by normative or phenomenological method. It is necessary to use these methods harmoniously to realize ideal teacher education. Secondly, teachers educator must harmonize the methods of scientific teaching and philosophical teaching. Scientific teaching helps teachers educator to think and solve some educational problems with scientific perspective. But it is only useful to rearing not good teacher but efficient teacher. So, teachers educator must use philosophical teaching to overcome this limitations. Aims of this philosophical teaching are to deepen educational thinking, to criticise educational problems, and then to make philosophical teacher. But when scientific and philosophical teaching are joined each other, teacher educator will achieve satisfactory teacher education. Thirdly, teachers educator must participate actively in research community or discourse community organized by school teachers. Without this participation, he never understand teacher's existential world, and so, never educate them efficiently. So, through this concerns and participation in this community, teachers educator can rear good teachers with philosophy.
