임상미술치료가 전반적 발달장애 아동의 IQ 변화에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 임상미술치료가 전반적 발달장애 아동의 IQ 변화에 미치는 영향을 규명하는데 있으며, 전반적 발달장애 진단을 받은 아동들을 대상으로 무선 표집 방법으로 선정하였고, 이들을 다시 회기당 20분의 부모 상담이 포함된 임상미술치료 프로그램을 실시한 실험집단과 부모 상담이 포함되지 않은 임상미술치료 프로그램을 실시한 대조집단에 각각 10명씩 무선 배치한 후, 임상미술치료 프로그램을 실시하였다. 두 집단에 속한 전반적 발달장애 아동들 모두에게 2007년 9월부터 2008년 8월까지 12개월간 주1회 회기당 100분과 부모 상담 20분 총 48회기에 걸쳐 임상미술치료를 실시하였다. 연구의 측정도구는 양적연구를 위하여 한국판 아동용 웩슬러 지능검사(K- WISC-Ⅲ)를 사용하였고, 질적 연구를 위해서는 인물화(Draw A Person; DAP) 검사를 사용하였다. 본 연구에서 수집한 자료를 바탕으로 양적분석을 위해서는 통계 프로그램인 SPSS WIN 15.0을 사용하여 분석을 실시하였다. 본 실험 연구를 통해 얻어진 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 임상미술치료가 전반적 발달장애 아동의 지능에 미치는 효과를 확인해본 결과, 전체 지능 및 언어성 지능, 동작성 지능 수준이 프로그램 이후에 유의미하게 향상되었다. 둘째, 부모상담이 포함된 임상미술치료 실시 시 전반적 발달장애 아동의 지능에 미치는 영향을 확인해본 결과, 전체 지능, 언어성 지능 및 동작성 지능 수준 모두 부모상담을 실시한 집단이 실시하지 않은 집단에 비해 프로그램 이후에 유의미하게 향상되었다. 셋째, 임상미술치료가 전반적 발달장애 아동의 사회성에 미치는 효과를 질적인 분석을 통하여 확인해본 결과, 임상미술치료 프로그램만을 실시한 대조 집단에 비해 부모 상담을 포함한 임상미술치료 프로그램을 실시한 집단이 더 유의미하게 향상되었다. 이상에서 볼 때, 전반적 발달장애 아동을 대상으로 임상미술치료 프로그램은 아동의 지능 수준 향상에 효과적이며, 프로그램에 부모 상담을 함께 실시하는 것이 아동의 지능 수준 향상에 더 효과적이며, 사회성을 향상시키는데 도움을 주는 모델로 제시될 수 있다.

영문 초록

This study focuses on clarifying the effects of clinical art therapy on IQ change in children with pervasive development disorders and how it influences parent counseling. In order to verify the study issues and hypotheses above, children diagnosed with pervasive developmental disorders and requested for clinical art therapy were selected by random sampling, among those who receive support from the Ministry of Health and Welfare at a welfare center for the disabled located in Siheung, Gyeonggi-do. 10 of them were each arranged randomly in the experiment group which went through a clinical art therapy program including 20 minutes of parent counseling each session, and in the control group which received clinical art therapy without the parent counseling. Children with pervasive developmental disorders in both groups all received clinical art therapy for 48 sessions in total, each session being held once a week for 100 minutes long and the parental counseling was held for 20 minutes. As for measurement tools, the Korean Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children(K-WISC-Ⅲ) was used for quantitative study, while the Draw A Person(DAP) test was applied for qualitative study. The following analysis was enforced with a statistics program called SPASS WIN 15.0 for quantitative analysis based on data collected in the study. The main results of this experiment study is as follows. First, as a result of confirming the effects of clinical art therapy on the intelligence of pervasive developmental disorders, the general intelligence and language, action intelligence levels were all improved significantly after the program. Second, as for the effects of clinical art therapy including parent counseling on the intelligence of children with pervasive developmental disorders, a meaningful effect was verified in the quantitative analysis. The general, language, and action intelligence levels all significantly improved more than the group that did not receive parent counseling. Third, when confirming a qualitative analysis on results of clinical art therapy effects on the sociability of children with pervasive developmental disorders, the group that received a clinical art therapy program including parent counseling showed more significant improvements than the control group which only enforced the clinical art therapy. From these results, the clinical art therapy program for children with pervasive developmental disorders is effective in improving their intelligence levels. Enforcing parent counseling along with the program would be more effective and can be presented as a helpful model in raising sociability.
