영문 초록

  The On-line Digital Contents Industry Promotion Act provides for the protection of the digital contents. Even though Copyright Act protects the database producers irrelevant to creativity standard, the On-line Digital Contents Industry Promotion Act provides that online digital contents producers should put suitable effort to give certain details that are legally set, and regulates these details to be protected for 5 years from the initial marking date. Digital contents manufacturer should give description of production and year/month/date of marking, name of the manufacturer (name of the corporate), terms and conditions of use and etc. in the online contents or on the wrapping. However, current marking system of the On-line Digital Contents Industry Promotion Act only sets generally applicable criteria and does not present model description method for digital contents of each type.
  Therefore, this article has focused on the roles of this act in substantial ways and the scheme to improve the marking system for digital contents manufacturer. This study also aims to offer a better understanding of the legal issues related to the improvement digital contents marking system.
