영문 초록

  In 1900"s, The translation of jules Verne"s science fiction was translated in Korea and China and japan. It was purpose to imports scientific civilization and remodels the country up-to-dately that jules Verne"s science fiction is translated much. So, translators included much compression and explanation so that readers may understand easily rather than translate as it is original.
  Vingt mille lieus les mers introduced first in the Korea by Bakyonghui"s translation in "Taegeukhakbo" (太極學報, 1906) among jules Verne"s Science Fiction. He considers reader"s level and modified japanese translation copy. He selected translation method that modifies by arbitrariness to achieve purpose that is enlightening independently with original text.
  In 1908, translated jules Verne"s Science Fiction. Original work of In Iron World(鐵世界) that he translates is Les cinq cents millions de la Begum: This work retranslated that Moridasigen(三田思軒) retranslates in japan. Leehaejo translated in Korean again after Pocheonso(包天笑) translates in Chinese in 1903. By the way, japanese translation and Chinese translation are a lot of differences, but Chinese translation and Korean translation are little differences. Translator focuses in nation confrontation between France and Germany and emphasized French"s humanism in Japan, but translator equated German and Japanese in China and Korea
  In this way, Les cinq cents millions de la Begum is translated to differ according to circumstance that translator is placed even if translated same work. So, after the Korea becomes colony by Japan imperialism, this work is encounter sales ban. It contained political meaning at Enlightment Age to translate Jules Verne"s science fiction. Bearing which criticize imperialism suggesting accommodation of scientific civilization was prohibited. Jules Verne"s science fiction was translated flattering in interest of publics in the 1910s.
