영문 초록

  This study observes a character of the designator of female body in Kim, Hae-soon"s poetry, Since 1990s, female writing has generally focused on sexual discrimination and inequality as a literary movement. This paper follows on the positive aspect of Kim, Hae-soon"s works, regarded as a leader of women"s writing through a character of the designator of female body in her poetry. Consequently, the research falls into the below results.
  To begin with, Kim, Hae-soon"s poems have a tendency to discuss "Body part".
  Second, her poetry tend to describe women"s body as a means of strategy, and ironically destroys body part to escape from suppression of women"s body, it stands for dualism to deform women"s body for women"s liberation.
  Third, childbirth is regarded as the origin of suppression formed on social culture code, and so as a matter of being denied. Furthermore, her poems rejects the root of feminine poetry with excluding childbirth and biological function.
  Fourth, the designator of female body in Kim, Hae-soon"s poetry shows self-violence rather than beautifying women"s body parts. For instance, coarse to indicate body part such as a skull, a corpse, the internal organs, a tooth tells example of self violence.
  Next, in her poetry, women"s body is usually described as a "speaking body" beyond "sexual desired body". It means she focuses on speaking organ between the lips of the vulva and the lips of mouth.
  lastly, the main objects of her poetry tends to deconstruct the topics such as male chauvinism female life, modem mechanical thinking way. Especially, she seems to try to make a caricature of female body, and deconstruct it.
  To sum up, a character of Kim, Hae-soon"s poetry should be concluded in resistance against gender discrimination and inequality. Furthermore, her literary works incline to reflect post modernism through denying modern thinking way and demolishing ready mede social system.
