국문 초록

  최근 들어 리더들의 윤리성과 도덕성에 대한 중요성이 강조되고 있음에도 불구하고, 윤리적 리더십의 이론적 토대를 본격적으로 조사한 연구문헌은 거의 찾아보기 힘든 상황이다. 이에 따라 본 논문의 목적은 윤리와 리더십의 관련성을 설명하고, 윤리적 리더십의 핵심요소들을 제시함으로써 기업의 경쟁력강화를 위해 요구되는 리더십의 윤리적 관점에 대한 이론적 근거를 제공하려는데 있다.
  이를 위해 본 논문에서는 윤리 이론을 총괄하여 윤리적 리더십의 이론적 근거를 제시하고, 왜 윤리가 리더십에 있어서 핵심적인 요소인지를 논하는 동시에 윤리적 리더십의 실행원칙들을 제시하고 이들의 의미를 설명하고 있다.

영문 초록

  Although there has been an interest in ethics for thousands of years, very little theoretical research exits on the nature of leadership ethics. This paper presents an overview of ethical theories as they apply to the leadership process. The ethical theory provides a set of principles that guides leaders in making decisions about how to act and how to be a morally decent person.
  This research also provides some direction in how to think about ethical leadership and how to practice it. In addition, this research describes basic principles that we can use in developing real-world ethical leadership.
