영문 초록

The christian Nature of the Poem written by Park, du-jin is characterized by a double-sided world value of darkness and brightness. In other words, the poem describes two opposite parts of "brightness"('the sun', 'the morning' and 'the light') as well as "darkness"('a grave', 'the evil' and 'sorrow'). This can be interpreted that metaphysical imaginative power of motion=rise=lightness= salvation=virtue and prohibition=descent=heaviness=destruction=the axis of evil signifies transcendental salvation, destruction and extinction of spirits. First, Park, du-jin's poem employs imaginative expressions centering on colors of black and white in order to get rid of darkness and introduce a new, bright world. Second, along with the God, mother nature is personified in the poem. By describing the mountain ("the mountain, silently ling down there"), the poet breaks the silence and vividly expresses a dynamic stir. Third, repeated use of onomatopoeic and mimetic words gives much more graphic and live image of things. By doing so, the poet pursues the salvation of the entire human beings, rather than one-on-one christian belief. In conclusion, I could learn that Park, du-jin's poem is a structure of pre-contracted, hidden secrets with the love of the God being the core, longing for the arrival of the Messiah resulted from the union of all creation.
