영문 초록

Lee kwang-soo(1892- ?)'s writing career started with the modern literature of Korea and he had played a major role in modern Korea literature. 1900s Lee kwang-soo's Literature and thoughts are based upon the korea traditional religion. but 1906, Lee kwang-soo had been moved by the Russia writer, Leo Tolstoy's literary thoughts and Artism. So during 1900 - 1925, Lee kwang-soo's Literature and thoughts are based upon Tolstoism and Christian Love. But since 1925, Lee kwang-soo's Literature and thoughts ara based upon the Buddhism. because since 1925, Lee kwang-soo had much experience in social individual defeat and he believed in the Korea Buddhism. So since 1925, his Literature had been shown Buddhistic thoughts. since 1930, Lee kwang-soo had been lived a life of the buddhistic monk and the prayer. And he had been writed the buddhistic novel and essay. The Mumeng is his 1939's work and to be shown Buddhistic thoughts. So this study of Lee's Mumeng is a beginning of his 1939s literary thought and literary world. Mumeng is based upon his 1930s Buddhistic life views. His literary thought of the Mumeng is mainly anitya(無常) and avidyā(無明) of Buddhism. And the literature thought of Mumeng should reveal a writer's sense of Buddhistic humanism, ethic, attitude towards nature and all beings. It must not be one for impressionism and writer's literary view but a professional one for elucidation of the aesthetic structure of literary works, narrative techniques and the syntactic merits of writings. Lee's Mumeng is described a existential thought, existential pains of the human being. And this Mumeng are divided into the one suggesting the directions of buddhistic life stye and world view, so Mumeng is showing Buddhistic thoughts, anitya(無常) and avidyā(無明), the one pursuing the sense of Buddhistic love as an essence of humanism, platonic love and the buddhistic ones which illuminate the historical themes again. So Lee's Mumeng is showing the formation of buddhistic world view and the zosun society.
