국문 초록

국가간 환율이 생산비용의 차이에 의해 결정된다는 cost parity 를 Johansen-Juselius 의 공적분추정법에 의해 실증적으로 분석하였다. 분석결과에 의하면 명목환율을 종속변수로 하고 상대생산성과 상대임금을 별개의 변수로 활용할 경 우 일본과 프랑스에서 cost parity 의 유용성이 확인되었다. 그러나 구매력평가에의 한 환율변수를 종속변수로 사용한 경우에는 그 영향력이 미약한 것으로 나타났다 . 더구나 상대생산성 변수와 상대임금 변수를 복합적으로 구성하여 설명변수로 사용 한 경우에는 두 방정식 모두 공적분벡터가 존재하지 않는 것으로 나타나 cost panty 가 환율결정에 미치는 영향을 판단하는데는 한계가 있다고 판단된다.

영문 초록

This paper is basically dealing with the exchange rate determination based on the cost parity by utilizing Johansen-Juselius cointegration method. According to empirical analysis, it is revealed that the cost parity is seldomly participated in determining exchange rates except Japan and France. Moreover, in some cases, cointegrating vector does not existed. To this end, the cost parity is quite limited in explaining the determination of the exchange rate. One of possible interpretations is that the labor is uniquely forming the specification of the model in the analysis. However, digital economic system is brought by knowledge-based economic system, and such a system makes enable the labor as a representing production factor in the production side due to the fact that the capital tends to be embodied on the human capital. And, therefore, up-do-dated datum will be available, more stable parameters could be estimated in this literature.
