국문 초록

겐지모노가타리』 에서 가시와기는 스자쿠인이 총애하는 황녀 온나산노미야의 결혼 상대로 후보에 올랐으나 꿈을 이루지 못한다. 이후 가시와기는 온나산노미야에 대한 집착으로 밀통을 저지르고 발각되어 자멸의 죽음에 이른다. 히카루 겐지에 이어 반복된 가시와기의 밀통과 그의 죽음은 황녀와의 결혼이라는 잠재된 혈통야망과 무관하지 않다고 본다. 이 논문에서는 가시와기 모노가타리의 본문 분석을 통해 가시와기의 혈통야망에 대한 근거를 살펴보고 그러한 야망에는 황녀와의 결혼에 대한 헤이안 시대 귀족들의 현실적인 면이 투영되어 있음을 확인한다.

영문 초록

In Genji Monogatari, Kashiwagi is nominated as the marriage partner of the princess Onnasannomiya, who is favored by Suzakuin, but fails to achieve his dream. Afterwards, Kashiwagi commits a secret affair due to his obsession with Onnasannomiya, which is discovered and leads to his death. It is believed that Kashiwagi's repeated secret affairs and his death following Hikaru Genji’s secret affairs are not unrelated to his latent bloodline ambition to marry the princess. This paper examines the basis of Kashiwagi's bloodline ambition through a textual analysis of the Kashiwagi Monogatari and confirms that such an ambition reflects the realistic aspects of the Heian period nobles regarding marriage to the princess.
