국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 자아상태가 스마트폰 과의존에 미치는 영향에서 대처동기와 스마트폰 사용 시간이 순차적 매개효과를 지니는지를 검증하는 것이다. 이를 위해 경상북도 소재 초등학교에 재학 중인 초등학생 275명(남학생 138명, 여학생 137명)에게 자아상태검사, 스마트폰 과의존 척도, 스마트폰 사용동기척도를 실시하였다. 다중회귀분석 결과에 따르면, 비판적 어버이자아와 순응적 어린이자아가 스마트폰 과의존에 미치는 영향은 통계적으로 유의한 것으로 드러났다. 순차적 매개효과 분석결과에 의하면, 비판적 어버이자아와 순응적 어린이자아가 스마트폰 과의존에 미치는 영향에 있어 대처동기와 스마트폰 사용시간이 순차적 매개효과를 지니는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 비판적 어버이자아와 순응적인 어린이자아상태 초등학생의 스마트폰 과다사용과 과의존에 대한 개입에서 대처동기를 타깃으로 하는 것의 유용함을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The objective of the present study was to examine the associations between ego states and problematic smartphone use, through a serial mediation analysis that included coping motives and smartphone use duration among elementary students. Elementary students (N=275, Nmale=138) participated in the study. They completed self-report scales of ego states, coping motives, smartphone use duration, and problematic smartphone use. The serial mediation analysis was conducted using Hayes' PROCESS macro (Model 6). Multiple mediation analyses showed that critical parent and adapted child ego states were found to predict problematic smartphone use. In addition, results of the serial mediation analysis supported a serial mediation model where critical parent and adapted child ego states were found to influence problematic smartphone use via coping motives and smartphone use duration in a sequential manner. Findings suggest that coping motives should be an intervention target for elementary students with critical parent and adapted child ego states and problematic smartphone use.
