외로움 관련 연구 동향 분석 : 2014년~2023년 국내 학술논문을 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구는 외로움이라는 정서와 관련된 국내 학술논문의 동향을 분석 및 파악하여 추후 상담 및 심리 분야에서의 외로움과 관련된 연구의 방향성을 제시함에 목적을 둔다. 이를 위해 한국교육학술정보원(RISS)에서 ‘외로움’을 검색하여 2014년부터 2023년까지 한국연구재단(KCI)에 등재된 상담 및 심리 관련 논문 52편을 대상으로 발행년도, 연구대상, 연구방법, 측정도구, 연구변인으로 분석했으며, 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 외로움과 관련된 논문은 코로나 펜데믹이 시작된 2020년부터 6편 이상의 연구가 이루어졌다. 둘째, 연구 대상으로 대학원생을 포함한 대학생과 성인에 집중되어 있었다. 셋째, 연구 방법은 총 52편의 논문 중 45편이 양적연구로 이루어졌다. 넷째, 외로움의 측정 도구로 43편의 논문에서 Russel, Peplau, & Frguson(1978)의 UCLA 외로움 척도가 사용되었다. 다섯째, 외로움을 종속변인으로 사용된 논문이 18편으로 가장 많았다. 이러한 분석 결과를 바탕으로 외로움과 관련된 연구의 주요 시사점과 향후 제언을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to analyze and understand the trends in domestic academic papers related to loneliness and to provide direction for future research in the fields of counseling and psychology. Methods: To achieve this, “loneliness” was searched within the Korean Education and Research Information Service (RISS) and came up with 52 counseling and psychological studies registered on the Korea Citation Index (KCI) from 2014 to 2023. These papers were analyzed by published year, research subjects, research methods, and measurement tools. The results were as follows. Results: First, more than six studies on loneliness have been conducted since 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic began. Second, the research subjects were focused on university students, including graduate students, and adults. Third, 45 out of 52 papers were quantitative studies. Fourth, the UCLA Loneliness Scale by Russel, Peplau, & Frguson (1978) was used as the measurement tool for loneliness in 43 papers. Fifth, 18 papers used loneliness as the dependent variable, which was the most common. Conclusions: Based on these analysis results, major implications and future suggestions for research related to loneliness were provided.
