A교육대학교 1학년 학생의 고교 시절 동아리활동 경험과 대학 생활에 관한 사례 연구

국문 초록

이 연구는 A교육대학교 학생들을 대상으로 고등학교에서의 동아리활동 경험과 그러한 경험의 의미, 그리고 대학생활에 주는 영향을 살펴보고자 하였다. 연구의 목적을 위하여 고등학교와 대학에서 유사한 경험을 가질 수 있는 A교육대학교 재학생 8명을 대상으로 사전 질문지의 답변 작성 및 1시간 내외의 개별 심층 인터뷰를 진행하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 고등학교 동아리의 가입 동기는 진로 혹은 진학을 위한 동아리 선택, 그리고 진로 및 진학과 무관한 동아리 선택으로 구분되었다. 둘째, 동아리활동 경험을 통한 성장으로는 교육대학교 입시에 도움이 되었다는 의견이 가장 많았고, 탐구력과 문제해결력 신장, 건전한 심신 발달 등을 꼽고 있다. 셋째, 만약 고등학교 시절로 돌아간다면 같은 동아리를 또 선택할 것인지에 대해서 대부분의 학생들은 긍정적 답변을 하고 있으나 진로 및 진학과 무관한 흥미와 관심사를 반영한 동아리를 다시 선택하고 싶다는 의견도 제시되었다. 넷째, 고등학교 동아리활동 경험이 대학생활에 미친 영향에 대해서는 대학에서의 유사 동아리선택부터 삶에 대한 태도를 학습했다는 의견까지 다양하게 나타났다. 이 연구는 그간 면밀한 진단이 이루어지지 않았던 고등학교 학생들의 동아리활동 경험을 A교육대학교 학생들을 대상으로 살펴봄으로써 고등학교 시절 동아리활동 경험의 의미와 이를 통한 성장 그리고 대학생활에 미치는 영향을 진단하였다. 연구의 결과를 기반으로 고등학교 학생들의 동아리활동에 선택, 동아리활동을 통한 성장, 동아리활동과 대학활과의 관련성에 대한 시사점을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to examine the experiences of club activities in high school, the meaning of such experiences, and the impacts on college lives of the students of A National University of Education(A NUE). To this end, the eight students of A NUE were selected and were asked to answer preliminary questionnaires and participate in in-depth interviews for approximately 1 hour. The interview contents were transcribed and sub-areas were derived from the data. The findings of the study were as follows. First, the motivation for joining a high school club activities was divided into choosing a club considering university admission and career path as well as their interests and aptitudes. Second, in terms of the growth through club activity experience, the most common opinion was that it was helpful for preparing college admission, and the improvement of research and problem-solving skills, and healthy mental and physical development were cited. Third, most students responded positively to the question of whether they would choose the same club again if they went back to their high school days, but there were also opinions that they would like to choose a club again that reflects their interests and aptitudes that were unrelated to their career path or university admission. Fourth, regarding the impact of high school club activities on college life, students showed that they chose similar clubs to their high school clubs, learned the attitudes towards lives. Based on the findings, the vision and directions for managing high school club activities in order to provide high school students with better experiences.
