국문 초록

이 연구는 J도에 거주하는 다문화가정 학부모의 학교교육 참여에 대한 교육요구를 분석하여 이들의 학교교육 참여를 촉진하기 위한 방안을 모색하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 다문화가정 학부모의 학교교육 참여 영역별 필요수준과 현재수준을 t-검정을 통해 통계적 유의성을 확인하였고, Borich 요구도와 The Locus for Focus 모델을 활용하여 교육요구도를 평가하였다. 연구의 주요 내용으로는 다문화가정 초등학교 학부모의 학교교육 참여에 대한 전체 요구도와 한국 거주기간별 요구도 분석을 통한 차이와 우선순위를 파악하고자 했다. 본 연구 결과 다문화가정 초등학교 학부모의 교육참여 요구는 거주기간에 따라 다르며, 언어 전문서비스와 학부모 자원봉사가 핵심적인 요구사항이었다. 한국 거주기간이 15년 미만인 경우 학부모 자원봉사, 15년 이상인 경우 다문화 가족 교류가 우선 순위였다. 따라서 다문화가정 학부모의 학교 참여를 증진하기 위해서는 거주기간별 요구사항을 고려하여 반영할 필요성이 제기되었다. 이를 위해 언어지원, 문화존중, 사회적 통합, 교육시스템 대응, 학업성취 지원 등 우선순위 설정 및 추진 필요성을 확인하였다. 본 연구를 기반으로 다문화가정 학부모를 위한 프로그램의 우선순위 결정 및 실행방안이 마련되어야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the educational demands regarding school participation from multicultural family parents residing in J province and to explore strategies to promote their involvement in schools. To achieve this, statistical significance was determined through t-tests to compare the required and current levels of school participation across different areas for multicultural family parents. The Borich Needs Assessment Model and The Locus for Focus Model were employed to evaluate educational demands. The main focus of the research was to identify differences and priorities in the overall demands and demands based on the duration of residence in Korea among elementary school parents from multicultural families. The study revealed that the educational participation demands of multicultural family elementary school parents varied depending on their duration of residence, with language specialist services and parental volunteering being identified as key requirements. Parental volunteering was a priority for those with less than 15 years of residence, while multicultural family exchanges took precedence for those with more than 15 years of residence. Therefore, to enhance the school participation of multicultural family parents, it is necessary to consider and incorporate demands based on the duration of residence. Priority areas such as language support, cultural respect, social integration, education system responsiveness, and academic achievement support need to be established and pursued accordingly. Based on this study, prioritization and implementation of programs for multicultural family parents should be carried out.
