국내·외 초등학교 저학년 미술과 교육과정 분석을 통한 「즐거운 생활」의 쟁점 도출 및 미술교육 정상화 방안 연구

국문 초록

제4차 교육과정 이후 현재까지 40여년간 「즐거운 생활」 통합교과는 교육과정 문서에서도 학교 현장의 수업에서도 제대로 구현되지 못하고 있다. 심지어 ‘놀이’ 중심의 통합교육을 표방하는 2009 개정 교육과정 이후 현행 2022 개정 교육과정은 교과의 항구적이고 본질적인 지식, 기능, 가치 및 태도 등 기본 학습 내용은 누락된 채 저학년 어린이의 발달이나 정서와의 부합 여부도 파악할 수 없는 주제나 영역으로 구성되어 있다. 이에 본 연구는 초등학교 1, 2학년의 학교 미술교육 정상화를 위한 교육과정 구성 방안을 모색하기 위해 국외 초등학교 저학년 미술과 교육과정의 선정된 내용 및 내용의 조직 방식 등을 분석하고, 국내 1-2학년 미술과 교육과정(제1차~제4차)과 「즐거운 생활」(제5차~2022개정)의 내용과 비교하여 초등학교 1-2학년 미술교육의 쟁점과 시사점을 도출하고자 하였다. 그 결과, 통합교과 운영에 따른 미술과 교육의 부실화, 유치원 누리과정과의 차별성과 연계, 미술과 교육과정과의 연속성, 미술 발달 수준을 고려한 미술교육의 부재 등이 쟁점으로 도출되었다. 이에 따라 초등학교 1-2학년 미술교육 정상화를 위해 「즐거운 생활」에서 미술과를 분리·독립하여 운영하고 누리과정과 초등학교 3,4학년 내용과 연계함으로써 기초 교육을 충실하게 실행하여 창의·융합의 기반을 다져나가야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

In the 40 years since the fourth curriculum, the integrated curriculum of Pleasant Life has not been implemented in curriculum documents or in classrooms in schools. Moreover, the current 2022 revised curriculum, after the 2009 revised curriculum, which promotes integrated education centered on 'play', is composed of topics or areas that are missing basic learning contents that are the foundation for lifelong learning to lead a human life, such as permanent and essential knowledge, skills, values, and attitudes, and that cannot be identified with the development or emotions of children in the lower grades. Therefore, this study was conducted to analyze the selected contents and organizational methods of the art curriculum for lower elementary school grades abroad in order to explore ways to organize the curriculum for the normalization of school art education in grades 1 and 2, and to compare the contents of the Korean art curriculum for grades 1-2 (1st to 4th) Pleasant Life(5th to 2022 revision) with the contents of Pleasant Life and draw implications for art and education. As a result, issues such as the deterioration of art education due to the operation of integrated curriculum, differentiation and connection with the kindergarten curriculum, continuity with the art curriculum, and the lack of art education considering the level of art development were identified. Therefore, in order to normalize art education in grades 1-2, the art department should be separated and operated independently from Pleasant Life and linked to the contents of grades 3 and 4 of the Nuri curriculum, in order to lay the foundation for creativity and convergence by faithfully implementing basic education.
