국문 초록

백담사 목조아미타불좌상 복장 유물에는 ‘동부황참의ᄃᆞ리년화방거’로 시작하는 한글 발원문(황참의ᄃᆞ리 발원문)과 ‘동부년화방황교거ᄒᆞᆫ’으로 시작하는 한글 발원문(황교 발원문) 등 2개의 한글 발원문이 있다. 그리고 복장 유물 중에는 한글이 서사된 저고리도 있다. 이 글은 두 개의 한글 발원문을 판독하여 한자어의 한자를 보충하여 내용을 해석하고 나서, 한글 발원문들의 음운, 형태, 통사, 문체를 연구한글이다. 한글 발원문 자체가 남아 있는 예가 거의 없기 때문에 한글 발원문 자체의 판독과 해석 작업 자체가 중요하다고 볼 수 있다. 한글 발원문의 주요한 국어학적 특징은 다음과 같다. 한글 발원문의 표기법은 상당히 보수적이며 구개음화된 표기를 보이지 않는다. 어휘에서도 ‘걸리다’의 뜻인 동사 ‘거치-’의 용례를 보여주며, 문법에서는 선어말어미 ‘-ᄉᆞᆸ-’과 ‘-앗/엇-’, 어말어미 ‘-{오/ᄋᆞᆸ}셔’ 등 전형적인 18세기 국어의 문법 현상을 보여 준다. 문체에서도 한자어와 고유어가 섞여 쓰이면서도 한자어 자체로 서술어 기능을 하는 등의 특징을 보여 준다.

영문 초록

The wooden seated Amitabha Buddha statued costumes in Baekdamsa Temple have two Hangul prayers(hera after HP) which are one starting with “동부황참의ᄃᆞ리년화방거” HP(here after, Hwangchamuidari HP) and the other starting with “동부년화방황교거ᄒᆞᆫ” HP(here after, Hwanggyo HP). And there is a jeogori, Korean traditional jacket, in which Hangul is described among them. This article examines the phonology, morphology, syntax, and style of the text after reading and interpreting the two HPs by supplementing the Chinese characters. The reading and interpretation of the HP itself are important because few examples of the HP itself remain. The important linguistic characteristics of the two HPs are as follows. The orthography of the two Hangul prayers is quite conservative and does not show palatalized writing. The text in two HPs also shows an example of the verb ‘geochi-’ which means ‘get caught’ on one hand in terms of vocabulary and a typical grammatical phenomena which has prefinal ending –sᴧp- and –ass/ eoss-, ending -{o/ᴧp}syeo- in the 18th century Korean language in terms of grammar. In terms of style, text is used in a mixture of Chinese and native languages, but it also shows a unique style, such as functioning as a predicate with Chinese characters themselves.
