국문 초록

Purpose: This study aims to elucidate the impact of retirement preparation among elderly with chronic diseases on health promotion behaviors and examine the mediating effect of family support in their relationship. Methods: Multiple regression analysis was conducted to analyze the relationships between retirement preparation, family support, and health promotion behaviors, with bootstrapping used to verify the mediation effect of family support. Results: It was found that physical, economic, and emotional preparations for retirement significantly influence both family support and health promotion be-haviors, and family support mediates the relationship between retirement preparation and health promotion behaviors. Conclusion: The findings underscore the positive impact of family support on retirement preparation and health promotion behaviors among the elderly with chronic diseases, highlighting the need to reevaluate the role of the family and actively incorporate them into health promotion and retirement preparation programs.
