국문 초록

Purpose: This study examined the effect of job stress and the perception of patient safety culture on the patient safety nursing activities of mental health nurses. Methods: A descriptive study design was used. The participants were 152 mental health nurses from nine psychiatric and general hospitals located in five regions. Collected data were analyzed using the SPSS 26.0 program using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple re-gression analysis. Results: The factors influencing patient safety nursing activities were psychiatric career (β=.22 p=.004), direct supervisor/manager attitude (β=.19 p=.039), and frequency of accident reporting (β=.20 p=.009). The total ex-planatory power of these variables was 30.7%. Conclusion: The patient safety nursing activities of mental health nurses can be enhanced by developing, effective practical guidelines and education programs and through institutional efforts to improve the accident reporting system and patient safety culture.
