국문 초록

본 연구는 그리드를 활용한 집단미술치료가 경증치매 노인들의 시공간 능력에 미치는 효과를 검증하는 데 목적이 있다. 연구 대상은 G 광역시 T 주간 보호센터와 S 주간 보호센터를 이용하고 스스로 참여 의사를 밝힌 경증치매 노인으로 실험집단과 통제집단은 각 16명으로 구성되었다. 실험 기간은 2022년 9월 27일부터 2022년 11월 17일로 주 2회, 60분 이내, 총 14회기로 그리드를 활용한 집단미술치료를 실시하였다. 양적 효과를 검증하기 위하여 RCFT(Rey Complex Figure Test)를 실시하였고 변화양상을 단계적으로 살펴보고자 하였다. 양적 분석은 대응 표본 T 검정(Paired Sample T-test)을 통해 측정한 결과, 시공간 능력의 하위영역인 시공간 구성능력에서 실험집단이 사전 평균 22.33(SD=6.313)에서 사후 평균 27.42(SD=6.966)로 증가하였고, 즉시 회상도 실험집단에서 사전 평균 5.15(SD=4.753)에서 사후 평균 9.32(SD=8.287)로, 재인 또한 실험집단의 사전 평균 15.19(SD=2.738)에서 사후 평균 18.75(SD=2.436)로 증가하여 사전, 사후 점수 간에 유의한 차이가 있었다. 또한, 변화양상 분석 결과, 시공간 능력에 긍정적인 변화를 확인하였고, 언어적 비언어적 표현을 통해서 심리적 만족감이 증가함을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구의 의의와 제한점을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to verify the effect of group art therapy using grids to improve the visuospatial ability of mild dementia. The study subjects were elderly people with mild dementia who received care from T or S day care center and agreed to participate. They were divided into 2 groups, the control and the experimental, 16 subjects each. A group art therapy was conducted twice a week for 60 minutes each session, a total of 14 sessions from September 27 to November 17, 2022. To verify the quantitative effects, RCFT was conducted before and after the art therapy program and its change was measured. For quantitative analysis results, statistical differences were measured through a paired sample T-Test. As a result, the score of visuo-constructional ability, as the sub-area of visuospatial function, was increased in the experimental group, post-test, 27.42(SD=6.966) compared to the pre-test 22.33(SD=6.313). The scores of immediate recall from 5.15(SD=4.753) to 9.32(SD=8.287), and the score of recognition from 15.19(SD=2.738) to 18.75(SD=2.436). There was a significant difference between pre- and post-test scores in the experiment group but not in the control. In addition, as a result of the analysis of changes, it was confirmed that positive changes in visuospatial ability were confirmed, and linguistic nonverbal expressions increased psychological satisfaction. Based on these findings, the significance and limitations of this study were discussed.
