국문 초록

본 연구는 Strauss & Corbin (1998)의 근거이론방법을 활용하여 Mischel (1968)의 성역할 사회학습이론의 관점에서 저경력 초등 남교사의 여학생 생활지도에 대한 고충을 탐색하고 일련의 생활지도 메커니즘을 중범위 맥락에서 체계적으로 구조화하였다. 연구 결과, Mischel (1968)의 성역할 사회학습이론이 맥락적 조건의 기반이 되었으며, 가정적 여건과 교육현장의 구조적 여건으로 인해 다른 성별에 대한 접촉 빈도 감소가 메커니즘 전반에 영향을 주었다. 인과적 조건으로는 ‘여학생의 여성으로서의 본능’, ‘남교사에 대한 사회적 압박’, 중심 현상은 ‘성차로 인한 기본적인 지도 고충’으로 드러났으며, 작용/상호작용으로는 ‘여학생 특성을 고려한 상호작용 전략’, 결과로는 ‘여전한 어려움 속 개선의지’로 도출되었다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 서로 다른 성별 차이의 이해를 위한 성 이해 교육 프로그램의 적극 운영, 새 학년 교사 배치 시 학년별 남교사 균형적 배치, 남교사를 위한 여학생 생활지도 연수 운영 등 다방면의 노력이 필요함을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

This study explored the dificulties of male elementary school teachers' life guidance for female students in a mid-range context and systematically structured a series of life guidance mechanisms in a mid-range context using the grounded theory method of Strauss & Corbin (1998). As a result of the study, Mischel (1968)'s theory of gender role social learning became the basis of contextual conditions, and the decrease in the frequency of contact with other genders due to family conditions and structural conditions in the educational field influenced the mechanism as a whole. The causal conditions were 'a female student's instinct as a woman', and 'social pressure on male teachers'. The central phenomenon was revealed as 'basic guidance grievance due to gender differences' and action/interaction is 'interaction strategy considering female student characteristics'. And as a result, it was derived as 'will to improve in existing difficulties'. Based on these findings, it was suggested that various efforts should be made to actively operate gender understanding education programs to understand different gender differences, balance placement of male teachers by grade when deploying new grade teachers, operation of female student life guidance training for male teachers, and minimize male teachers' departure to professional or managerial positions.
