장 보드리야르의 사고에 기반한 미술과 디지털 리터러시 교육내용 탐색

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 디지털 미디어와 문화에 대한 부정적인 양상을 드러낸 보드리야르의 사고에 기반하여 미술과 교육에서의 디지털 리터러시의 내용을 검토해 보는 데 있다. 우선 2022 개정 교육과정에서의 디지털 리터러시와 보드리야르 사고를 관점별로 검토하고, 이어서 그의 사고를 오늘날의 사회 및 문화 상황에 적용, 논의해보며 미술과 교육의 디지털 리터러시 교육내용을 구체적으로 도출하였다. 이를 통해 디지털 이미지의 문해와 비판적 사고가 교과 공통의 디지털 리터러시에 포함되어야 한다는 점과 미술과에서는 디지털 리터러시를 디지털 활용에 국한하지 말고 비주얼 리터러시와의 교집합으로 제시하여 미디어의 속성과 관련한 이미지에 대한 비판적 해석이 이루어져야 한다는 것을 발견할 수 있었다. 이를 반영하여 교과 공통의 디지털 리터러시 구성 요소와 미술과의 디지털 리터러시 구성 요소를 지식·이해, 과정·기능, 가치·태도 범주별로 제안하였다. 보드리야르의 사고는 디지털 미디어와 이미지에 대한 올바른 이해와 비판적인 사고의 형성을 위한 교육내용을 깊이 있게 고안하게 해준다. 이 연구는 현장적용을 위한 기초 연구로 문헌 조사를 통해 학교급별 구분 없이 미술과 교육내용을 구체적으로 탐색, 도출해보는 탐색적 연구 방법을 취하였다. 수업 실행과 분석, 다른 입장의 이론을 적용한 디지털 리터러시 구성 요소 검증은 후속 연구로 남아있다.

영문 초록

The aim of this study is to investigate the facets of digital literacy in art education through the lens of Baudrillard’s perspectives, which illuminate the negative dimensions of digital media and culture. Initially, I looked into the 2022 revised curriculum and Baudrillard’s viewpoints from various angles, examining their interconnectedness and collaborative function. Subsequently, I applied and discussed these perspectives within contemporary social and cultural contexts to delineate the specifics of digital literacy in art education. Of note, digital literacy should encompass the ability to understand and critically interpret digital images as part of a broader digital literacy across subjects. In art education, digital literacy should transcend mere technical proficiency, integrating with visual literacy to enable critical analysis of images within the context of media properties. Considering this, I proposed components for common digital literacy across subjects and educational content specific to digital literacy in art education, categorized by knowledge/understanding, process/skill, and value/attitude. Baudrillard’s insights enables us to deeply design of educational content to foster a correct understanding of digital media and images, nurturing the development of critical thinking. This study serves as foundational research for practical application in the field, employing an exploratory research approach to elucidate the contents of art education without distinction by school level through a review of literature. Further research avenues include classroom implementation, analysis, and validation of digital literacy content components through the application of alternative theories.
