특수학급 봉사학습에 참여한 예비특수교사의 통합교육 경험과 인식 및 지원 요구

국문 초록

본 연구는 대학 연계 특수교육 봉사활동을 통해 특수학급 봉사학습에 참여한 예비특수교사의 통합교육 경험과 인식 및 지원 요구를 확인해 봄으로써 특수교육의 교직 수행과 교육환경 개선방안을 탐색하고자 하는 것이다. 이를 위해 특수학급 봉사학습에 참여한 예비특수교사 중 참여 의사를 밝힌 12명을 대상으로 1그룹 6명, 2그룹 6명 총 2개의 초점집단면담 그룹을 구성하여 각 1회씩 인터뷰를 하였다. 연구결과, 대학 연계 특수교육 봉사활동을 통한 특수학급 봉사학습은 예비특수교사들에게 통합교육의 이론과 실제를 연결하는 경험을 제공하였고 통합환경 내의 특수교사의 역할과 역량을 이해하며, 통합교육에 대한 중요성과 한계를 심도 있게 성찰하는 계기가 되었다. 예비특수교사들은 특히 생활지도, 교수활동, 대인관계 등 다양한 차원에서 교사효능감을 경험했으며, 통합교육의 핵심 구성원 간의 소통과 의지의 약점을 발견하기도 하였다. 연구결과를 통해 특수학급 교육봉사를 효과적으로 지원하기 위한 방안이 제시되었다.

영문 초록

The study aims to explore the integration experiences, perceptions, and support needs of prospective special education teachers who participated in volunteer learning activities in special education classes through university-affiliated programs. A total of 12 prospective special education teachers, who expressed their willingness to participate, were selected for two focus groups, each comprising 6 participants. Research findings indicate that volunteer learning activities in special education classes through university-affiliated programs provided prospective special education teachers with an experience connecting the theory and practice of inclusive education. It facilitated an understanding of the role and competencies of special education teachers in inclusive environments, prompting a profound reflection on the significance and limitations of inclusive education. Notably, the participants enhanced their teacher efficacy in various dimensions, including life guidance, instructional activities, and interpersonal relationships. The study also revealed weaknesses in communication and commitment among key stakeholders in inclusive education. The results contribute to the identification of effective strategies to support volunteer service learning in special classrooms.
