장애아동 특수교육관련서비스 이용 실태, 부모의 만족도 및 개선을 위한 요구 조사: 경상남도 지역을 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 장애아동 부모를 대상으로 특수교육관련서비스의 영역별 이용 실태와 만족도그리고 서비스 이용에 관한 문제점 및 개선에 대한 요구를 조사해 보고자 하는 것이다. 이를 위해 경상남도 지역에 위치한 장애전문어린이집 종일반이나 방과 후 반에 등원하는 장애자녀를 둔 부모134명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 특수교육관련서비스 이용 실태에서는 6개 영역 모두를 이용하고 있었으며 비율은 보조공학기기/학습보조기기 지원 39.6%에서 치료지원 92.5%까지 다양하였다. 둘째, 이용과 관련한 만족도는 영역별로 ‘보통’에서 ‘조금 만족’ 수준으로 나타나 낮은 편이었으며, 치료지원에서 자폐성장애아 부모가 지체장애아 부모보다 만족도가 더 높았고, 치료지원과 보조공학기기/학습보조기기 지원에서 중증 장애아 부모가 경증 장애아 부모보다 높은 만족도를 보였다. 셋째, 본 연구에 참여한 부모들은 6개의 모든 영역에서 이용과 관련하여 제시된 다양한 문제점과 개선을 위해 요구되는 방안에 응답하였다. 본 연구에서 도출된 결과는 관련 분야의 전문가들이 특수교육관련서비스가 특수교육 대상 아동 개개인의 교육 및 재활을 지원하는 기능을 극대화하도록 하기위해 필요한 정책이나 방안을 마련하는데 활용될 수 있을 것이라 기대한다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to investigate status of use of special education related services for children with disabilities, parents’ satisfaction and requests for improvement on the services. For the purpose, a survey was used for parents whose children attend daycare centers for children with disabilities, and one hundred and thirty-four parents participated in the study. The main results were as follows. First, in the status of use, they use six categories of special education related services all, and the rate was ranged from assistive technology and learning device support of 39.6% to therapy support of 92.5%. Second, degree of satisfaction was comparatively low ranged from ‘average’ to ‘a little satisfaction’. In comparison of the satisfaction, parents of children with autistic disorder showed more satisfaction than those of children with physical disabilities in therapy support, and parents of children with severe disabilities did more satisfaction than those of children with mild disabilities in therapy support, assistive technology and learning device support. Third, parents responded various difficulties and requests for improvement on the services presented in all six categories. Lastly, it is expected that the results of the study will be used for experts in related fields to establish needed policies or plans that special education related services maximize its function of supporting education and rehabilitation for each individual child with disability.
