국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 주거특성이 노인의 건강과 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향 관계에서 가족관계 만족도의 조절효과를 검증하는데 있다. 분석자료는 한국복지패널(KOWEPS) 16차년도 자료(2021년)이며, 만 65세 이상 노인 4,477명을 분석대상으로 하였다. 분석 방법은 다중회귀분석과 위계적 회귀분석을 사용하였다. 선행연구 검토를 통해 대표적인 주거특성 변인으로 1인당 주거면적, 주거부담비 비중, 필수설비, 구조·성능·환경설비, 주거형태, 그리고 강제이주경험을 선정하였다. 최종 분석 결과를 정리하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 1인당 주거면적, 구조·성능· 환경설비, 그리고 주거형태가 좋을수록 노인의 건강 상태가 좋은 것을 확인하였다. 둘째, 1인당 주거면적, 구조·성능·환경설비, 그리고 주거형태가 좋을수록 노인의 삶의 만족도가 높았다. 그러나 주거비부담비중이 높을수록 삶의 만족도는 낮게 나타났다. 셋째, 가족관계 만족도는 구조·성능·환경설비에서 노인의 건강과 삶의 만족도에서 부적 조절효과가 있었다. 즉 구조·성능·환경설비가 안 좋아도 가족관계 개선을 통해 노인의 건강과 삶의 만족도를 향상할 수 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이를 바탕으로 주거환경과 함께 긍정적인 가족관계를 개선하여 노인의 건강과 삶의 질을 향상시키기 위한 방안을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims toverify theeffect of housing characteristics on the health and life satisfaction of older adults, and the moderating effect of satisfaction of family relationship satisfaction in this relationship. Data from the16th Korea Welfare Panel (KOWEPS) survey in 2021 were used for the analysis. Participants were 4,477 older adults aged 65 or older. Multiple regression analysis and hierarchical regression analysis were the methodologies employed. Through a literature review, housing area per capita, proportion of housing burden, essential facilities, structural, functional, and environmental facilities, residence type, and forced migration experience were selected as representative variables for housing characteristics. The results are summarized as follows. First,it was confirmed that older adults’ health improved with better residential area per person, structure, performance, environmental facilities, and housing type. Second, better residential area per person, structure, performance, environmental facilities, and housing type led to higher the life satisfaction. However, higher housing cost burden led to lower life satisfaction. Third, satisfaction of family relationship had a negative(-) moderating effect between structure, functional, and environmental facilities, and the health and life satisfaction of the elderly. In other words, it was found that even if the structure, performance, and environmental facilities are poor, the health and life satisfaction of older adults can be improved by improving family relationships. Based on this, a plan was proposed to improve the health and quality of life of older adults by improving family relationships, along with improving the residential environment.
