국문 초록

본 연구는 공직자의 노후에 대한 가족의 기대가 공직자 가족으로서 만족에 미치는 영향에 대해 분석하고 그에 따른 정책적 함의를 모색한다. 흔히 공직자의 노후 보장은 공직자 자신은 물론이고 공직자 가족에게도 공직이 주는 주요 장점으로 여겨진다. 본 연구는 바로 그에 대한 실증적 분석을 진행하였다. 이를 위해 공직자 가족으로서 높은 체감을 보이는 직업군인 가족 105명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 분석결과에 따르면, 공직자 가족에게 공직자 노후에 대한 기대는 가족만족의 요인이 되지 않는 대신, 현재 생활여건에 대한 만족 정도가 가족만족에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그중에서도 특히 경제상황, 대인관계, 신체건강에 대한 현재만족 정도가 유의미한 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 최근 공적 연금개혁 등의 논의로 인해 공직자의 노후에 대한 불확실성이 높아짐에 따라 노후에 대한 기대가 가족만족에 유의미한 영향을 미치지 못하는 것으로 보인다. 이런 결과는 공직자인 직업군인 가족 대상의 만족 향상을 위한 정책적 노력의 초점이 노후 보다는 현재의 생활이 어떤지에 대한 고려가 더 중요함을 말해준다.

영문 초록

This study examines the influence of family expectations concerning the retirement of public officials on family satisfaction. The post-retirement life of a public servant is perceived as attractive not only to the official themselves but also to their family. This study undertakes an empirical analysis of this perception. A survey was conducted involving 105 family members of career soldiers currently serving in the public sector. The results revealed that expectations regarding retirement were not a significant factor in determining family satisfaction for families of public officials. However, the level of satisfaction with present conditions played a pivotal role in influencing family satisfaction. Notably, current satisfaction levels related to the economic situation, interpersonal relationships, and physical health had a considerable impact. This can be attributed to the recent debates on pension reforms, which have heightened concerns about the retirement security of public officials amongst their families. Consequently, family expectations regarding the retirement of public officials do not significantly influence family satisfaction. These findings imply that strategies aimed at enhancing the satisfaction of military families should prioritize current living conditions over concerns about retirement.
