장애인의 자녀 돌봄 어려움 잠재 유형화와 영향 요인에 관한 연구

국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구는 장애인의 자녀 돌봄 어려움 유형을 도출하고, 유형별 인구사회학적, 가구특성, 장애특성 영향요인 분석을 목적으로 수행되었다. 연구방법: 이를 위해 2018년 장애인 모·부성권 증진을 위한 실태조사 자료로부터 자녀가 있는 장애인 203명을 분석대상으로 선정하였다. 본 연구는 장애인의 자녀 돌봄 어려움을 유형화하기 위해 잠재계층분석(LCA)을 하였으며, 유형에 대한 영향요인을 파악하기 위해 스테레오타입 로지스틱 분석을 시행하였다. 연구결과: 본 연구에서 나타난 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 장애인의 자녀 돌봄 어려움 유형은 ‘전반적 고부담(35.9%)’, ‘전반적 중부담(31.5%)’, ‘전반적 저부담(32.6%)’ 총 3개의 유형으로 구분되었다. 둘째, 가구특성과 관련해서 기초생활 수급권자일수록, 배우자가 없거나 배우자 또한 장애가 있을수록 장애인의 자녀 돌봄 시 경험한 어려움이 더 컸다. 셋째, 장애특성과 관련해서 장애 등급이 중증일수록 장애인이 자녀 돌봄 시 경험한 어려움이 더 큰 것으로 나타났다. 제언: 이러한 결과들은 현재 논의 중인 장애인의 자녀 돌봄 권리 증진을 위해 이들의 어려움을 해소해줄 수 있는 실천적, 정책적 함의를 포함하고 있다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to identify the types of difficulties in caring for children of people with disabilities and analyze the influencing factors of demographic, household, and disability characteristics by the types. For this purpose, 203 married people with disabilities with children were selected from the 2018 Survey on the Promotion of Motherhood and Fatherhood Rights of Persons with Disabilities. This study conducted a Latent Class Analysis(LCA) to categorize the difficulties in caring for children of people with disabilities, and a stereotype logistic analysis was conducted to identify influencing factors on the types. The results of the analysis are as follows. First, the difficulties in caring for children with disabilities were categorized into three types: overall high burden (35.9%), overall medium burden (31.5%), and overall low burden (32.6%). Second, with regard to household characteristics, those who are basic aid beneficiaries, those without a spouse, and those whose spouse also has a disability, the greater the difficulties experienced by parents with disabilities in caring for their children. Third, with regard to disability characteristics, the more severe the disability, the greater the difficulties experienced by parents with disabilities in caring for their children. These findings have practical and policy implications for addressing the challenges faced by people with disabilities in order to promote their right to care for their children.
