개별 심층면담을 통한 호흡기장애인의 경험에 관한 질적연구

국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구는 소수장애인으로 장애인 복지 분야의 연구대상에서 소외되었으며 주로 의료 영역에서 연구가 진행된 호흡기장애인의 경험을 통한 보건·복지서비스 욕구를 파악하기 위해 수행되었다. 연구방법: 전문가 연쇄의뢰 표집(Chain-referral Sampling)방법을 통해 총 10명의 호흡기장애인 당사자를 대상으로 심층인터뷰를 실시하였으며 현상학적 사례분석을 활용해 장애 경험을 분석하였다. 연구결과: 본 연구를 통해 나타난 결과는 일곱 개의 주제가 도출되었으며 첫째, 숨쉬는 것 자체가 고통인 호흡기장애, 둘째, 기대할 수 없는 무의미한 일상의 반복, 셋째, 환자로서의 정체성과 현재 진행형인 호흡기장애, 넷째, 감추고 싶은 호흡기장애와 중간 장애인, 다섯째, 가족과 사회로부터의 스스로의 고립, 섬으로의 이주, 여섯째, 사회관계망의 붕괴와 사회적 역할 상실로 내몰린 삶의 극한 상황 대면, 일곱째, 고립된 섬에서의 외출, 호흡기장애인들과의 소통 등이다. 제언: 연구결과를 통해 호흡기장애인을 위한 전문적 심리지원서비스 마련, 사회참여를 위한 이동권 확대, 사회자립을 위한 직업재활 지원, 장애인식개선 교육에 호흡기장애인에 대한 내용 추가 등을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

As a minority group, people with respiratory disabilities have been excluded as a study participant in the field of disability welfare and have been studied for the pulmonary functions in the field of medicine. The purpose of the current study was to investigate the health and welfare service needs of people with respiratory disabilities based on the welfare perspectives. Through the Chain-referral Sampling, a total of 10 participants with respiratory disabilities were interviewed and analyzed based on phenomenological case analysis. The results included the respiratory disabilities even with pain in breath, the repetition of routines without hope, the uncertain progressive identity as a patient, the unrevealing respiratory disabilities and halfway people with disabilities, the self isolation from the family or society and moving to an island, the collapse of the social network and loss of social roles, and the escape from isolated island and communication with peers with respiratory disabilities. Based on the results, implications related to the introduction of professional mental supports, the expansion of voucher taxi services for social inclusion, the vocational services for social independence, and the addition of the respiratory disabilities to the disability awareness education were proposed.
