국문 초록

연구목적: 이 연구는 지체장애성인의 생애주기별 사회활동 및 문화･여가활동 실태를 분석하고, 이를 토대로 지체장애성인의 생애주기별 사회생활 및 문화･여가생활을 활성화하기 위한 정책적, 실천적 방안을 모색하는 데 목적이 있다. 연구방법: 연구를 위해 「2020년 장애인 실태조사」의 원 데이터에서 25세 이상의 지체장애성인 3,218명의 데이터를 추출하고, 이를 다시 성인 전기, 중년기, 노년기로 구분하여 사회활동 및 문화･여가활동 실태를 분석하였다. 연구결과: 주요 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 노년기 지체장애인의 경우 15.1%가 혼자 외출이 불가능하며, 외출 빈도도 낮았다. 성인 전기의 40.5%, 중년기의 37.2%, 노년기의 50.4%는 집밖 활동 시 불편함을 느끼고 있으며, 주로 장애인 관련 편의시설 부족과 동반자가 없어서 불편함을 느끼는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 지체장애성인의 문화･여가활동 참여 수준은전반적으로 매우 미흡하였으며, 성인 전기의 52.0%, 중년기의 58.9%, 노년기의 50.0%는 문화･여가생활에 불만족하였는데, 모든 생애주기에서 경제적 부담이 주된 이유인 것으로 나타났으며, 성인 전기와 중년기 지체장애인은 시간 부족을, 노년기 지체장애인은 건강이나 체력 부족을 두 번째 이유로 꼽았다. 제언: 연구 결과를 토대로 지체장애성인의 향후 지체장애성인의 사회활동과 문화･여가활동을 증진하기 위한 정책적, 실천적 대안에 대하여 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims to analyze the current status of social and cultural and leisure activities of adults with physical disabilities according to their life cycle. Along with this, building upon this finding, it intends to find policies and practical measures to promote their social and cultural and leisure activities by their life cycle. In order to carry out this, the author gathered data from 3,218 adults with physical disabilities aged 25 years and older from the original data of the '2020 Survey on the Current Status of People with Disabilities.' The data was again grouped into stages such as early adulthood, middle age, and old age and analyzed the present status of their social activities, and cultural and leisure activities. The key findings are described below. First, 15.1 percent of the elderly with physical disabilities are not able to go out alone and they go out less frequently. It was also shown that 40.5% percent of people with physical disabilities in early adulthood, 37.2 percent of middle-aged adults with physical disabilities, and 50.4% percent of the elderly with physical disabilities experience discomfort when it comes to outdoor activities. The main reason why they feel uncomfortable was lack of convenience facilities related to people with disabilities. Second, adults with physical disabilities generally did not participate in cultural and leisure activities to a significantly less degree. It was noted that 52.0 percent of early adults, 58.9 percent of middle-aged adults, and 50 percent of the elderly with physical disabilities were discontent with their cultural and leisure activities, largely due to economic burdens. Adults with disabilities in early adulthood and middle-aged adults with physical disabilities mentioned lack of time as the second reason, while the elderly noted lack of health or weak physical strength as the second one.
