다문화 고등학생의 진로장벽과 진로결정성의 종단적 상호관계: 성취동기의 매개효과 분석

국문 초록

이 연구에서는 한국청소년정책연구원의 다문화청소년패널조사 7-9차년도 자료를 활용하여 우리나라 다문화 고등학생들이 지각한 진로장벽과 진로결정성 간의 종단적 상호관계와 성취동기의 종단매개효과를 자기회귀교차지연모형을 활용하여 분석하였다. 먼저, 자기회귀계수 동일성 제약모형, 교차지연계수 동일성 제약모형, 잔차분산 동일성 제약모형과 잔차공분산 동일성 제약모형을 순차적으로 검증하였을 때, 잔차분산 동일성 제약모형이 가장 적합한 것으로 나타났다. 해당모형을 적용하여 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 자기회귀계수검증결과, 이전시점의 진로장벽/성취동기/진로결정성은 다음시점의 진로장벽/성취동기/진로결정성을 정적으로 유의하게 예측하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째로, 교차지연계수 검증결과, 진로장벽과 성취동기 간의 종단적 상호관계가 모두 유의하였다. 성취동기와 진로결정성 간의 종단적 상호관계는 성취동기가 진로결정성에 미치는 효과만이 유의하였고, 진로결정성이 성취동기에 미치는 영향력은 유의하지 않았다. 셋째로, 붓스트랩을 활용한 종단매개효과 검증결과, 지각된 진로장벽 수준이 성취동기를 통해 진로결정성에 미치는 종단매개효과가 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 연구의 시사점을 제시하고 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to analyze the longitudinal mediation effect of achievement motivation between career barriers and career determinations of multicultural youths. For this purpose, the 7th to 9th waves of the Multicultural Adolescents Panel Study data conducted by the National Youth Policy Institute were analyzed by using an autoregressive cross-lagged model. Results from this model showed as follows: First, multicultural youths’ perceived career barriers, achievement motivation, and career determination in the previous time positively significantly predicted multicultural youths’ perceived career barriers, achievement motivation, and career determination in the later time. Second, the longitudinal interrelations between career barriers and achievement motivation were significant; it was also identified that when achievement motivation in the previous time became high, career determination in the later time became significantly high. Third, it was found that multicultural youths’ perceived career barriers through achievement motivation played a longitudinal mediation effect on career determination. Based on these results, the implication of this study were discussed and suggestions for future study were proposed.
