청소년의 다문화 행동의도 척도 개발과 타당화

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 한국 청소년용 다문화 행동의도 척도(MBIS)를 개발하고 타당화하는 데 있었다. 이를 위하여 선행연구 고찰을 통해 청소년의 다문화 행동의도의 개념을 정립하고 이 개념에 적합한 초기 문항을 개발하였다. 그리고 다문화 교육 관련 전문가에게 내용타당도를 검증 받아 총 18문항의 예비조사용 도구를 확정하였다. 예비조사는 425명의 청소년을 대상으로 실시하였으나 수집된 자료 중 91.2%(388부)가 분석 자료로 활용되었다. 문항의 신뢰도와 구성타당도에 대한 검토로 1차 EFA와 CFA의 절차를 거쳐서 총 18문항의 본 조사용 청소년의 MBIS를 개발하였다. 본 조사에는 예비조사와 다른 집단의 청소년(840명)을 표본 추출하였다. 수집된 자료 중 90.7%(762부)의 유효자료를 이용하여 본 조사 도구(18문항)에 대한 2차 EFA, 신뢰도와 구성타당도를 검증한 결과 최종적으로 청소년 MBIS는 3요인구성의 총 16문항(Cronbach's α=.965)으로 개발되었다. 요인 1은 상호문화 소통행동의지(6문항, α=.934), 요인 2는 다문화 원조행동의지(5문항, α=.945), 요인 3은 다문화 공존행동의지(5문항, α=.909)로 명명하였다. 개발된 MBIS모델의 타당성을 검증하기 위하여 2차 CFA를 수행한 결과 최종 MBIS의 모델 적합도 지수가 모두 판정기준을 지지하였으며(SRMR=.035, RMSEA=.083, GFI=.904, NFI=.947, TLI=.946, CFI=.946), 하위요인 간 상관분석, 개념신뢰도 및 AVE 등을 통해 수렴타당도, 판별타당도, 준거타당도 등이 확증되었다. 마지막으로 이 연구를 통해 개발된 청소년 MBIS의 의의와 이 연구의 제한점을 바탕으로 후속 연구를 위한 제언을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to develop and validate MBIS for Korean youth. For this purpose, 18 preliminary items were developed based on the reviewing literatures and existing scales. The preliminary survey was conducted with 425 adolescents. 91.2%(388 cases) of the collected data were used for data analysis. After reviewing the reliability and construct validity of the items, a total of 18 items on the MBIS for adolescents was developed through the first EFA and CFA procedures. The revised scale consisting of 18 items was administered to a sample of another 840 students, but only 90.7% (762 cases) of the collected data were used for analysis. Through testing the second EFA, reliability and construct validity, finally the MBIS (Cronbach's α=.965) was developed, which consists of 3 factors and 16 items. Factor 1 was the cross cultural communication behavior intention (6 items, α=.934), factor 2 was the multicultural aid behavior intention (5 items, α=.945), and factor 3 was the multicultural coexistence behavior intention (5 items, α=.909). It was proved that the 3 factors model fits the data well. The final MBIS model fit was supported by all the criteria. Also, convergent validity, discriminant validity, and validity were confirmed through correlation analysis between sub-factors, conceptual reliability and AVE. Based on the results of this study, some limitations of this study were discussed and suggestions for further study were suggested.
