학령초기 아동의 자아강도와 사회불안 및 학교생활 적응의 관계: 학년에 따른 차이를 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 학령초기 아동의 자아강도와 사회불안, 학교생활 적응의 관계를 탐색하고 변인 간 경로를 모형화하는 것이다. 이를 통해 아동의 학교생활 적응을 지원하는 모래상자치료 중재 프로그램을 구안하는 데 활용할 수 있는 기초자료를 마련하고자 한다. 연구대상은 서울과 경기도 지역의 초등학교 1-2학년 아동 총 573명으로 1학년 323명, 2학년 250명이며 부모보고형 질문지를 통해 조사를 진행하였다. 연구결과 학년에 따라 자아강도에서 유의한 차이가 확인되었으며, 1학년과 2학년 집단 모두자아강도와 사회불안, 학교생활 적응 간에는 유의한 상관이 있었다. 그리고 1학년은 자아강도가 학교생활 적응에 미치는 영향을 사회불안이 부분적으로 매개하였으며, 2학년은 학교생활 적응에 대해자아강도의 영향력만 유효한 것으로 검증되었다. 이상의 결과는 학년에 따라 아동의 학교생활 적응을지원하기 위한 모래상자치료 프로그램을 개발할 때 학년에 따른 차이를 고려해야 함을 시사한다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to explore the path model of ego strength, social anxiety, and school life adjustment in early school-age children. Through the study, we would like to prepare basic data that can be used to design a sandtray therapy intervention program model to support children's adjustment to school life. The subjects of the study were a total of 573 children in the 1st and 2nd grades of elementary school in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do(1st: 323, 2nd: 250). The survey was conducted through parent-reported questionnaires using cluster sampling. As a result of the study, significant differences in ego strength were confirmed depending on the grade, and there was a significant correlation between ego strength, social anxiety, and school life adjustment in both the 1st and 2nd grade groups. In addition, social anxiety partially mediated the effect of ego strength on school life adjustment in the 1st grader, and only ego strength on school life adjustment in the 2nd grader was verified to be effective. The above results suggest that differences by grade should be considered when developing sandtray therapy programs to support children's adjustment to school life.
