국문 초록

영재교사들은 교육 현장에 많은 영향력을 끼치며, 영재교육 경험으로부터 도출된 실천적 지식들은 공식적이고 형식화된 명시적 이론의 구조나 형식을 제공할 수 있다는 점에서 영재교사의 인식 탐색은 중요성을 가진다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 영재성과 영재교육에 대한 미술영재교사들의 인식을 탐색하는 것에 연구목적을 두고, 6명의 미술영재교사들을 대상으로 면담을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 영재교사들은 미술영재성에 대해 미술적 능력, 창의성, 정의적 특성의 관점에서 미술영재성을 다면적으로 인식하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 다음으로, 교사들은 선행 영재교육 경험을 통해 형성한 미술영재성에 대한 신념을 바탕으로 미술영재교육을 인식하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 미술영재교육에 대한 연구참여자들의 인식은 ‘미술 표현 역량 함양 교육’, ‘개별 관심 분야 심화 교육’, ‘융합 교육’으로 범주화 되었다. 본 연구는 기존의 양적 연구방법을 통해 미술영재교사들의 보편적 인식을 탐색하였던 선행 연구와 달리 질적 연구방법을 통해 미술에서의 영재성과 영재교육에 대한 영재교사들의 인식을 개별 참여자들의 맥락에서 심층적, 종합적으로 분석했다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

As gifted teachers are closely involved in identifying giftedness and practicing gifted education, they have a lot of influences on the gifted education. And its importance can be also found for that their practical knowledge of gifted education derived from experiences can provide a structure or form of explicit theory. Therefore, this study attempted to explore the perceptions of giftedness and gifted education in visual arts by using the interview method. As a result of the study, it was found that gifted teachers perceive giftedness in visual arts from various angles in terms of artistic ability, creativity, and affective characteristics. Next, it was found that teachers recognize gifted education based on their belief in giftedness in visual arts formed through their prior gifted education experience. Research participants' perceptions of art gifted education were categorized into ‘art expression capacity development education’, ‘in-depth education focused on individual areas of interests’, and ‘convergence education’. Unlike previous studies that explored the universal perception of art gifted teachers through quantitative research methods, this study is meaningful in that it analyzed gifted teachers' perceptions of art giftedness and gifted education in depth and comprehensively based on the context of individual participants.
