국문 초록

김해 퇴래리유적은 1984년부터 15차례에 발굴조사를 거쳐 주거역, 묘역, 저장역 등이 확인되는 3~6세기대 복합취락으로 파악되었고, 현재까지 다수의 연구자료가 축적되어 왔다. 본 연구의 목적은 김해 퇴래리 금관가야 취락의 양호한 연구조건을 토대로 유적의 특징과 구조를 파악하고, 3~4세기대 금관가야 취락의 성격에 대해 밝히고자 하는 것이다. 김해 퇴래리유적 취락의 구성은 구릉 사면에 수혈건물지와 생활유구로 구성된 주거구역 조성하고 구릉 말단부에 저장공간을 마련하여 철기 생산물이나 경작물 등을 저장하기 위해 고상건물지들이 조성되게 된다. 취락의 북쪽에 형성된 고대산만을 활용하여 수로를 통해 취락 내에서 생산된 생산품을 교역하였던 것으로 판단된다. 묘역 내의 고분에서 단야구가 부장된 사례가 있어 인접한 여래리ㆍ하계리 유적과 유사한 제철공정이 이루어졌을 가능성도 있다. 이러한 취락들은 교통상의 이점을 가진 곳에 자리잡고 취락 간의 철 생산 및 철기제작에 분업화가 이루어지며, 중심취락과 주변취락을 연결하는 거대한 네트워크를 형성했을 것으로 판단된다.

영문 초록

The remains of Toerae-ri in Gimhae have been identified as a complex 3rd to 6th-century settlement in which residential areas, tombs, and storage areas have been identified through 15 excavations since 1984, and a large amount of research material has been accumulated to date. The purpose of this study is to identify the characteristics and structure of the remains based on the favourable research conditions of the Three Kingdoms Period settlement at Toerae-ri, Gimhae, and to clarify the characteristics of the Geumgwan Gaya settlements in the 3rd and 4th centuries. As for the composition of the settlement at Toerae-ri, Gimhae, the people built a pit building on the slope of the hill and lived there, and built a warehouse at the end of the hill to store products such as iron products and crops. It is thought that they traded products produced in the settlement by water, using the ancient mountain bay formed to the north of the settlement. There is a case where a sweet potato was found as a burial gift in an ancient grave in the cemetery, so it is possible that the sweet potato was produced by receiving iron products smelted and scraped from the nearby ruins of Yeorae-ri and Hagye-ri. These villages are thought to have formed an extensive network linking the central village and with surrounding villages by virtue of their location, which provided an advantage in terms of transport and division of labour between groups in the production of iron and ironware.
