국문 초록

이 연구는 이제껏 수석교사가 참여한 전문적학습공동체에 관한 연구가 없다는 점에 주목하여, 초등 초임교사가 수석교사와 함께 하는 전문적학습공동체에 참여하면서 무엇을 어떻게 경험했는지, 그리고 그 경험이 초등 초임교사의 교직 사회화 과정에 어떤 의미를 지니는지를 탐구하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 연구자는 2020년 3월부터 2021년 12월까지 2년간 수석교사로 근무하며 함께 했던 초등학교의 전문적학습공동체 7명의 초임교사 중 두 명을 연구 참여자로 선정하여 5개월간 내러티브 분석을 하였다. 연구 결과 두 명의 초등 초임교사는 교사가 되기까지 녹록하지 않은 여정을 거쳤고, 교직 현장에서 생각과 다른 현실, 가야 할 미래에 직면했지만, 수석교사와 함께 한 전문적학습공동체 안에서 든든한 심리적 지지, 힐링 등의 따뜻한 ‘환대’를 경험하였다. 또 두 명의 초등 초임교사는 수석교사와 함께 하는 전문적학습공동체 안에서 자신을 돌아보고 성찰하는 기회를 가짐으로써 ‘교육 철학을 세우는 것’이 얼마나 중요한지를 알았다. 나아가 이들 초임교사는 학교 안 전문적학습공동체에서 함께 배운 것을 넘어 또 다른 배움을 찾아 학교 밖의 교사 모임에 주체적으로 참여하는 등 ‘교사로서 공부를 확장’하였다. 이 두 명의 초등 초임교사의 내러티브를 통해 수석교사와 함께 한 전문적학습공동체가 초등 초임교사의 교직 사회화와 정체성 정립 과정에서 ‘안정적 길잡이’ 역할을 하였음을 확인할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

This study focuses on the doubts about the professional learning community of Master Teacher who are doing their best so far, and learns what and how beginner teachers experience while participating in the professional learning community jointly with Master Teacher, and the experience progresses in the socialization of the teaching profession. To this end, the researcher selected two of the seven beginning teachers of the professional learning community of elementary schools who worked as Master Teacher for two years from March 2020 to December 2021 as research participants and analyzed the narrative for 5 months. As a result of the study, the two beginning elementary school teachers went through a difficult journey to become teachers, and faced a reality that was different from their thoughts in the teaching field, and a future to go to. I experienced a warm 'hospitality'. In addition, two beginning elementary school teachers realized how important it is to 'establishment of educational philosophy' by having an opportunity to look back and reflect on themselves in a professional learning community with a Master Teacher. Furthermore, these beginning elementary school teachers 'expansion of teacher’s learning' by actively participating in teacher meetings outside the school in search of other learning beyond what they learned together in the professional learning community inside the school. Through the narratives of these two first-time elementary teachers, it was confirmed that the professional learning community with the Master Teacher served as a 'stable guide' in the process of socializing the teaching profession and establishing the teacher's identity.
