영문 초록

The thought of Confucianism inheriting is a category that guides where to go in every age, so that it reflects the spirit of the times as it is a root for the relevant era. The viewpoint of such Confucianism inheriting was established systematically in the Song dynasty of China, rooted from Sòng Chūsān Xiānshēng (宋初三先生: Three great teachers of early Song dynasty). Among them, Shíjiè led the way to enhance the position of Confucianism with innovative attitude and played the role to found the authentic spirit of Confucianism focusing on ‘the Zhì-dào (治道: to pave the way)’. First of all, he advocated ‘ the Theory of Huá-yí (華夷論: Theory to admire China while rejecting other nations)’, so that he established the position of Confucianism by referring to four border nations as non-Confucian states. Furthermore, he suggested the Cháng-dào (常道: norm of ethics) as the truth for moral standard based on the Sān-cái-zhī-dào (三才之道: the principle among heaven, earth and human). Such his move can be thought to have helped the systematical establishment of Confucianism by paving the way for the Confucianism of North Song dynasty.
