자아통합을 이루어가는 비행청소년의 모래놀이치료 사례연구

국문 초록

본 사례연구는 특수절도로 가정법원으로부터 모래놀이치료 심리상담 처분을 받고 의뢰된 중학교 3학년 남학생 사례이다. 내담자는 평소 모범생이었으나 가족 안에서 따뜻한 돌봄이나 대화가 부족하고, 친구들과 관계에서도 감정을 터놓고 대화할 수 있는 대상이 없는 아주 공허한 상태였다. 내담자는 사춘기 심리적인 불안감으로 긴장을 경험하고 자아정체성 혼란상태에 빠져 또래들과 어울리면서 여러 차례 비행행동에 연루되었다. 모래놀이치료를 통해서 내담자는 내면의 혼란과 갈등, 불안을 해소하고 자아의 강도를 높혀 자아정체성의 혼란상태에서 벗어나 사춘기 통과의례의 과업을 무사히 달성하는데 치료목표를 두었다. 본 사례의 모래놀이치료 과정은 통과의례의 3단계로 분리(불안과 갈등 의식의 단계) - 전이(대극의 투쟁단계) - 통합의 단계로 나누어 살펴보고자 하였다. 내담자는 혼란과 갈등 불안요인들을 의식하고 억압된 감정을 해소해가면서 대극을 통합해가는 과정에서 자아의 강도가 높아져 자신의 남성성을 구축하고 자아정체성을 확립해가는 모습을 보여준다. 또한 치료자는 내담자가 자신의 감정을 편안하게 모래상자에 표현할 수 있도록 충분히 담아주는 역할을 하였다. 내담자는 이러한 과정을 통해서 내면에 부정적인 에너지를 긍정적인 에너지로 변환시켜 내적인 치유의 경험을 하게 되었고, 현실의 집단에 적응해 가면서 진정한 자신의 모습을 찾고 꿈을 찾아가는 과정을 보여주는 사례라고 할 수 있다.

영문 초록

This case study is the case of a male student in the third year of middle school who was requested after receiving sandplay therapy and psychological counseling from the family court for special theft. The client was usually a model student, but he lacked warm care or conversation in his family, and was in a very empty state with no one to openly communicate his feelings with friends. The client experienced tension due to psychological anxiety in adolescence and was involved in delinquent behavior several times while socializing with peers in a state of self-identity confusion. Through sandplay therapy, the client’s treatment goal was to relieve inner confusion, conflict, and anxiety, and to increase the strength of the ego to escape from the stupor of self-identity and safely achieve the task of the rite of passage of puberty. The process of sandplay therapy in this case was divided into three stages of the rite of passage: separation (the stage of anxiety and conflict consciousness) - transition (the stage of confrontation) - integration. In the process of integrating opposites while conscious of confusion, conflict, and anxiety factors, and resolving suppressed emotions, the intensity of ego increases, showing how to build one’s masculinity and establish one’s self-identity. In addition, the therapist played the role of sufficiently containing the client’s feelings so that they could comfortably express their feelings in the sandbox. Through this process, the client experienced inner healing by converting negative energy inside into positive energy, and it can be said to be a case that shows the process of finding one’s true self and finding one’s dream while adapting to a real group.
