국문 초록

본 연구는 우리나라 예술교육의 방향성을 탐색하기 위해 전국 25개 예술고등학교 미술전공 교육과정 운영현황을 살펴보고 이를 분석하였다. 대부분의 예술고등학교는 전문교과를 중심으로 편성되어 있으며, 보통교과와 전문교과의 구성은 예술고등학교의 설립유형, 지역, 학년에 따라 시수 배정의 차이를 보였다. 예술고등학교 교육과정은 2015 개정 교육과정에서 제시하는 다양한 시각과 경험을 위한 전문교과목과는 달리 편향된 전문교과목으로 구성되어 있음을 확인하였다. 본 연구의 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 개정 교육과정에서 제시하는 교육과정의 방향과 실제 교육현장에서 운영하는 교육과정 운영의 차이를 구체적으로 살펴보고, 2022 개정 교육과정에서 이를 반영할 필요가 있다. 둘째, 예술고등학교 교육과정은 대중 예술전공의 수요 확대를 고려하여 대중 예술의 전문성을 교육과정에 반영할 필요가 있다. 셋째, 중등예술교육과 고등예술교육의 교육과정은 서로 연계성을 가지고 있으므로, 예술고등학교 교육과정의 편성과 운영에 대한 기준은 예술대학의 입학 전형에 맞게 구성할 필요가 있다. 넷째, 예술고등학교의 교육목표는 전문예술인 양성이므로, 깊이 있는 예술교육과 시대적 흐름과 변화에 따른 유연한 예술문화교육 방향이 필요하다.

영문 초록

This study examines the current status of art education programs in the art departments of 25 national art high schools across the country in order to explore the direction of art education in Korea. Most art high schools are structured around professional subjects, and the composition of general subjects and professional subjects varies depending on the type of school, region, and grade level. It was found that the art education curriculum of art high schools is biased towards professional subjects, unlike the diverse professional courses for various perspectives and experiences presented in the revised 2015 curriculum. The conclusions of this study are as follows: First, it is necessary to examine the specific differences between the direction of the curriculum presented in the revised education curriculum and the actual curriculum operation in the field, and to reflect this in the revised 2022 education curriculum. Second, in consideration of the increasing demand for popular arts majors, it is necessary to reflect the professionalism of popular arts in the art education curriculum. Third, since the art education curricula of middle and high schools are interconnected, the criteria for the organization and operation of art high school curricula should be structured to match the admission process of art universities. Fourth, since the goal of art high schools is to cultivate professional artists, it is necessary to have a flexible art and cultural education direction that responds to the depth of art education and the trends and changes of the times.
